Mount TBR 2020 discussion

Buddy read will be starting 17th of February, Elyse and I will be reading it and everyone who wants to join is more than welcome

Can't wait! I've been wanting to get to it for awhile but I always end up bumping it down. I did win an itty bitty copy of The Mermaid Girl: A Story from GR a couple of years ago, a prequel to BoS. Read it but never read the book!

Oh that's fun, didn't even know there was a prequel. I got the book for my birthday three years ago and ever since I wanted to read it but kept pushing it on my tbr, happy to finally start.
How did you like the prequel?

It was confusing! lol. And meant to be read after the book others have said. So I will be reading it again once we're done.

You can do it! I just started Hitchhikers Guide to Galaxy but I have no problem with reading multiple books at the same time

Oh me neither but one is another buddy read and everyone has finished and the other is an Overdrive book due back tomorrow. TBoS will be my physical book and I also read an ebook and listen to an audiobook at the same time. So I can always be reading. lol

That's great! Just got back home and will start reading now. Do you want us check in while reading or discuss after finishing?

I usually check in at random points, if I've read something interesting or find something to talk about. Or just how I'm feeling about story at that point. I'm starting right now. My day off has changed though, I was planning to read all day and now I've got some errands to run. Boooo!

I'm about 100 pages in and so far I'm loving it. I like Simon, I like the whole story with the book and past parts are so interesting

So far it's reminding me of a but of The Mermaid's Sister mixed with The Thirteenth Tale. I've made it to Ch. 3.

Haven't read either but if I end up loving this, I'll look them up. Haven't read a lot today,I'm on chapter 9

I haven't been able to read for a few days but I'm hoping to really dig into it tonight.

Same here, I got distracted by Memoirs of Geisha but I plan to finish it this weekend

I'm not finished yet but I've got about 100 pages to go. I really like it but some parts are a little slow.

I have to continue tomorrow, uni started today and I was busy whole day but I really hope I will have time tomorrow. Tnx God we are buddy reading it cause if I was by myself I would just keep pushing it back

It's been such a busy week for me!! And now my nephew is sleeping over so I'm busy till Sunday. I'm hoping against hope to finish those last 100 pages on Sunday. You been busy too??

I finished it. I'm still waffling between 3 and 4. I liked parts of it but some parts were really slow.

Oh damn I completely forgot about it! I finished like 4 books in the meantime, I have to make myself pick it up and read it cause I was quite enjoying it.

I ended up going with 4 stars but it's really 3.5. My review here. Glad to put it in the donate pile though! And I did re-read The Mermaid Girl: A Story, it still didn't do anything for me! lol.
