The 5th Wave discussion

This Sci-Fi novel is definitely one that deals with difficult topics even though it is based around a fictional alien invasion. The detailed descriptions of deaths of close loved ones makes it a heavier read but a meaningful one. I would recommend this book to be age-appropriate for about 14 and up, though there is swearing and violence to be considered by parents or adults. It is also a romance element to this story and it contains some content like two people sharing the same bed though it is not too explicit on that topic.
This book is written from multiple perspectives and shows how people deal with what is literally the end of their lives as they know it. It is a captivating read; something that will keep you guessing (as the characters are) what is happening to the world and what is coming next.
