I feel like the last person on this planet that hasn't read this...

Yai | 1 comments I read it in December and I felt the same way haha. Hope you end up liking it.

message 3: by Karen (new)

Karen | 32 comments I haven't read it yet either, but it's been on my list a long time!

Clio (Bemuzed) (bemuzed) | 5 comments didn't really like it all that much, hated the final 100 pages or so, but I know a whole lot of people who love this

message 5: by Leticia (new) - added it

Leticia (leticiatoraci) I have it since a long time in my TBR too.

Magnus Iskander Reim (magnusiskanderreim) | 33 comments Read it last year. Was really underwhelmed by it. It seemed overly philosophical and pre-chewed moral-heavy to me, a kind of paragon of bookclub book (in a bad way) :/

However, I know loads of people who loved it, so it might just be me !

PS : I also was intensely bored by Middlegame, high unpopular opinion-five.

A Robin Reads (arobinreads) This is one of my favorite books, hope you like it!

message 8: by Benjamin (last edited Feb 17, 2020 02:06PM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Benjamin (beniowa79) | 6 comments I loved this one almost from the first page, but I can see that it wouldn't be for everyone.

Kristy (kristyi) | 1 comments I just finished this book recently, and, unfortunately, I really, really, didn't like it. Literally everyone that I follow who has read this has given it five stars, so I was expecting a lot from it. I was so disappointed. :/

Lake I always confuse this initially with name of the wind and get sad (because it doesn't look like that series is ever going to be finished.) Cemetery of Forgotten Books looks excellent though (and actually has an ending thank the lords) and I should get on that.

A Robin Reads (arobinreads) @Lake S Actually not sure if it has an ending. I thought it was just a 3 book series and then a 4th book came. Maybe you have some more info then I do? Did the author say that the 4th book was the last one?

message 12: by Lake (new) - added it

Lake @A Robin welp! I was going off this article which called it a completed 4 book series. Could be wrong though (:

A Robin Reads (arobinreads) @Lake S Thanks a lot! Really hope that's the case so I can reread it soon and start the 4th book that I haven't read yet.

Fernanda Otero (feroteror) | 2 comments Spanish is my first lenguaje and I don’t want to hype it up because I know in translations can change a little the style of the autor but it’s one of my favorite books of all time, Carlos Ruiz Zafón takes you immediately to the places he’s writing and I can see why some people felt it slow but the ending it’s definitely worth it!

CadmanReads | 9 comments I hope you all like it as much as I do. in fact, the whole series is really great. The translator did an excellent job as this definitely reads like it was written in English.

I found the audiobooks to be good too. My only issue was the Audiobook reader wasn't constant through the series.

I'm pretty sure the 4th book is the last, based on the style of how it ends.
