Catherine Byrne (katarina66) | 9 comments Hi folks, I've just joined so I hope I don't break any rules.
My trilogy set on the island of Raumsey (A fictional name for the Island where I was born and brought up) OOps, no, the last in the trilogy is set in Canada and Raumsey.
Follow the Dove
The Broken Horizon
The Road to Nowhere
The first of these is roughly based on fact and begins in 1900.
BTW, Raumsey is really Stroma, set off the north coast of Scotland. Although slightly south of the Orkney Islands, it is not part of that group, but belongs to the county of Caithness. The once thriving community of Stroma has gone. The island is now deserted.

Scott Neil | 2 comments Hello everyone,

If it is okay to do so, I'd like to add my new novel Dolphin Girl to the list of Scottish books. This is a contemporary fiction, set in Edinburgh, and crosses over a few different genres, including modern urban life with a touch of comedy romance.

Peggy, can I have James Meek as a Scottish author? Born in and now lives in London, but grew up in Dundee. Bit tenuous, I know!

After looking him up Stephanie, I would say yes for sure. He lived most of his life in Scotland and started writing there. Worked for a newspaper there too. I'm sure all of that influences his writing!

Great, thank you :-)
I just read The People's Act Of Love which I think is superbly written.
