4. The Really, Really Hard Challenge Take 3
This is probably my favorite challenge of the year. Actually, it is a collection of 12 monthly challenges.
For January, the challenge was to read 5 authors that were new to me. I completed this, and it was a great experience.

George II, who was German, was mentioned often as was Frederick the Great (Prussian) who basically ruled over Germany during Washington's time. Also, Hessians (German) were hired by England to fight in the American Revolution and were the troops Washington defeated along the Delaware River. Never knew all this before reading this book!
