Weather discussion

Of all the books I've read recently, this one seems to elicit the most bipolar reactions. Readers either love it or find it meandering and pointless. I can see the validity of both perspectives (I connected with the book on a visceral level), but I wonder if there are other factors at play. For example, while reading I felt strongly that it resonated with me as a middle-aged mom book, and have not recommended it to my kids, who share my Kindle account
