there isn't any snow here yet. it snowed once in early December, and then it melted, and it hasn't snowed yet since then.

Okay, I just need to rave (and rant) about this show right now because I honestly just cannot get enough of it and the next episode doesn't come out until two or three weeks from now. This is literally one of the best shows I've ever watched in my entire life.
About
The 100 is a dystopian/sci-fi TV show, set three generations after an Armageddon nuclear war wipes out all life on Earth. The survivors are twelve international space stations in orbit during the time of the nuclear war. The twelve space stations, totaling approximately 4,000 men, women, and children, decided to link to each other and create one huge space station called The Ark. They face many arduous challenges, but they have to make sure that the human race survives. Three generations later, though, the ark leaders have discovered that the Ark's supplies were dwindling, and so were their oxygen supplies. Out of sheer desperation, the Ark leaders deemed 100 juvenile delinquents "expendable" and sent them to the ground with a mission to find out if the earth was survivable... or if the radiation would kill them. However, during the launch to the ground, something goes wrong and the drop ship's communications are cut off, leaving the 100 delinquents by themselves.
The Characters
Clarke Griffin: Clarke Griffin, daughter of Abby Griffin, medical doctor and member of the Ark council--now Chancellor. Clarke is seventeen years old--now eighteen--and one month away from being "floated", which is basically a death sentence except you're being ejected into outer space. Hence the name, floated. All juvenile delinquents--no matter the crime they committed; stealing, illegal trading, etc.,--are floated once they turn eighteen to preserve oxygen for the rest of the Ark. Anyway, just one month before Clarke is supposed to be floated, she's whisked away and sent to the ground. She's panicked and confused like the others who have been sent down with her, but the way she acted when she was sent to the ground showed how brave and courageous she was. She showed that she knew how dangerous it was on the ground since humans haven't been on it for, what, three generations? She showed that she knew the risks and hazards of being on the ground and the dangerous environment she was placed in. Clarke was the one that was always weighing the pros and cons of every uncertain decision she--or the rest of the 100--had to make. There's more I wish I can say about her, but overall, she's brave, charismatic, emotionally/mentally and physically strong, bad-ass, witty, and smart.
Bellamy Blake: Bellamy Blake, twenty-three years of age, brother of Octavia Blake. Honestly, Bellamy was a plain jerk in the beginning, and generally, most of the chaos that occurred when the 100 came to the ground was because of him. But that was only because he didn't want the Ark to come to the group, seeing that Jaha--the Chancellor of the Ark at the time--and him had a... grudge against each other. Well, Bellamy shot Jaha. However, he's changed a lot over the course of season one and season two and has now come to be one of my favorite characters.
Octavia Blake: Octavia Blake, younger sister of Bellamy Blake. Octavia was arrested just for being born. She lasted a couple years, hiding from the Ark officials, but an event that happened when she was around 13-16 resulted in her ended up in the Skybox. There's a law on the Ark that every family is allowed only one child. Why? To preserve oxygen, of course. Similar to what they did in China in the old days. Octavia was a bitch in the beginning. Sassy, stubborn. She hated Clarke. She changed pretty quickly, though. She stopped being that spoiled little princess of her protective brother, Bellamy. She's a strong character right now and has definitely made a lot of tough choices that affected her emotionally.
Finn Collins: He's the boy that had every girl watching the show fall heads over heels about, but personally, he was just plain annoying to me. Okay, fine, maybe I found him cute for a one episode, but that was it, alright? He's arrogant (Haha, hypocritical me once again), not to mention he abandoned his girlfriend, Raven Reyes, thirty minutes after he landed on the ground for Clarke. I don't like him, and that is final. I don't approve him with Clarke, either. Do not read spoiler if you haven't seen the episode Spacewalker, aired in December 2014. (view spoiler)
Raven Reyes: Raven Reyes is my favorite character, hands down. She's also used to be Finn's girlfriend, but it got complicated when she came to the ground and realized he was having an affair with Clarke. She's an incredibly knowledgeable and intelligent girl and is a technician on the Ark. She wasn't part of the 100, but made it down to the earth with nothing but an old, crappy, useless rocket that she fixed in a week. She's fierce, smart, intelligent, and strong.
Jasper Jordan: The hesitant, wimpy kid (Isn't that ironic since he played Rodrick in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid movie?). At first, anyway. He's awkward at times, but adorable. Smart and a good fighter. One of my favorites, definitely, although he doesn't get involved a lot until the second season.
Monty Green: Basically Raven: Prodigious child, vast knowledge of technology, computers, and the like. Not a fighter, though.
Thelonius Jaha: Former Chancellor of the Ark, father of Wells Jaha.
Marcus Kane: Counselor of the Ark. Acted like a jerk at the beginning, but I warmed up to him.
Wells Jaha: Thelonius's son. Clarke's best friend. I don't like him. He's done a lot of things for Clarke, and I appreciate all of that, but I just didn't like him very well.
Abby Griffin: Chancellor of the Ark. Clarke's mother. Doctor.
Anya: Former leader of the Grounders. Grounders are survivors of the nuclear war. They were unknown until the 100 discovered them on the ground. Enemies. Anya is merciless, cold, vengeful, and prideful, but I like her.
Lexa: Current leader of the Grounders. Fierce, merciless, cold, vengeful, and prideful, but she's definitely my favorite villain on the show.
Lincoln: Grounder. In love with Octavia. Their romance is forbidden. Strong, powerful, honorable.
Why I Love This Show
There are a LOT of reasons why I love this show. Let's just go down the list, shall we?
