Hayley (haillaure) | 3 comments There is a girl from the future that is sent back in time to the 1970s or 80s. She originally has no memory of this but somehow remembers that her family and another teen boy’s family are from a technologically advanced future. Her father isn’t with them and it’s assumed that he was the one that sent them back to protect them a war or apocalypse. Her and this other teen boy also fall in love and there is even a rather smutty scene between them. There may be a sequel to this book because I recall them being on the run together in the end as they’re escaping people from the future coming after them.
A random extra detail: I recall there being a technology in the future that was integrated into people so they could enter a virtual reality and live out past events such as Woodstock. This also kept them healthy and even provided birth control but they lose this when sent back to the past.
I remember so many random details from this book but cannot remember the name! Anyone have any ideas?

Hayley (haillaure) | 3 comments Whoops sorry I had that detail in my original post before it deleted the whole thing on me. It was probably 5-9 years ago while I was in high school. I imagine it was written in the 2000s.

Mai | 1280 comments Searching "young adult" "novel" "from the future" "virtual reality" the Yesterday Series by C.K. Kelly Martin came up. The first book is also called Yesterday. It was published in 2012.

From the reviews it looks promising!
