We’re all set! The sweepstakes will begin on July 20. I’ll send out a broadcast message with the details on that date.

Yeah! Great job Jonetta!
Woo hoo! I recommended the book for library purchase and just found out I’m first in line on release day!

It's in my Kindle library and I will get to it as soon as I finish 'The Lost Book of The White' :D I can't wait! I love when Roarke's past comes a knocking!!

Here are my thoughts
My review of Shadows in Death by J.D. Robb

I’m starting it, now.
Phrynne, it never ceases to amaze me how many people who regularly rate the books harshly continue to read them and make the same tired comments. Stop reading the series!!!

It just makes me wonder if 'they' ever write positive reviews on anything/any author.
I just think it doesn't take much thought or reflection to tear into the personality/characteristics of the AUTHOR - sometimes totally forgetting the review is about the book.
Exactly, Mdy. If you don’t like the book, you’re entitled. Why make unfounded suppositions about Nora? If you believe the series has run its course, abandon it.
I had one reviewer who commented on my last In Death book review and made disparaging remarks about the series. Normally I don’t mind leaving those comments there as diversity in opinions are welcomed. But then I looked at her profile and she’d rated the last five books one or two stars with the same remarks. I’m not even convinced she read the books and didn’t offer anything specific about the stories. That one I deleted.

Me too. I stopped reading Stephanie Plum because I want her to grow up. Evanovich's formula is to continue with the status quo. She is successful with her formula so I stopped reading.

Oh my goodness Mdy I almost cried before I knew what happened.

Same for me. That series is beloved by many, including a lot of my friends. Though it didn’t work for me, it had nothing to do with the writing or the author. Just not my cuppa. I silently quit and moved on.

Even when I felt when some of the novels weren't the best, it was still time with some of my favorite people in one of my favorite settings... A place where guns are outlawed, where mothers get paid for being mothers, where there are Autochefs!
(written from the very smoky Pacific Northwest, where people get threatened when they are told to wear a mask)

I try, whenever I can, to listen to twice when a new In Death book is released - because I miss so much the first time. I totally enjoyed this the first time and even more so the second. It feels like I'm catching up with friends.

As it often did since he'd married a cop, murder interrupted more pleasant activities. Then again, Roarke supposed, the woman lying in a pool of her own blood a few steps inside the arch in Washington Square Park had a heftier complaint.
When a night out at the theatre is interrupted by the murder of a young woman in Washington Square Park, it seems like an ordinary case for Detective Eve Dallas and her team. But when Roarke spots a shadow from his past in the crowd, Eve realises that this case is far from business as usual.
Eve has two complex cases on her hands - the shocking murder of this wealthy young mother and tracking down the shadow before he can strike again, this time much closer to home. Eve is well used to being the hunter, but how will she cope when the tables are turned? As Eve and the team follow leads to Roarke's hometown in Ireland, the race is on to stop the shadow making his next move . . .
