Michael (knowledgelost) | 31 comments It's time to start nominating books for our April group selection!

The rules remain the same: each member can nominate ONE book from the list of 100 Best Books by Women Writers in Translation and second ONE nomination by another member.

The last day for nominating & seconding is March 5th.

On March 6th, the most popular books will be put into a final poll and you'll be able to vote for one book that you would like to see as our April selection.

Results for next month’s selection will be announced on March 9th.

Happy nominating!

Alan (The Lone Librarian) Teder | 14 comments Hello all, I suspect that world events have interrupted our plans here and I did not see any vote on the April 2020 selection. If anything is still happening, I'd like to nominate The Mussel Feast by Birgit Vanderbeke and I will second the nomination for Sweet Days of Discipline by Fleur Jaeggy.

The reason I put up The Mussel Feast is that Peirene Press with Charco Press, Comma Press, Istros Books, Nordisk Books and Tilted Axis Press, have started a Translated Fiction Online Book Club which will meet Thursday 8pm GMT every week for an initial 6 weeks. The first book on Thurs March 26 is The Mussel Feast. Other members of Best 100 WIT might be interested to see/join in. I'll post details under Currently Reading. (of the 6 books initially planned, 4 are WIT, but only 1 is in the Best 100).
