Ooh, I'm sure that things are heating up in The Lying Game by this point and you'll be wanting to speed right on through to the end of the book. But please stop in here at the end of "Rule 4 Never Lie to Each Other" and leave some comments and predictions before finishing the book.

Victoria James | 12 comments Yay! The story has turned and got really really exciting!! I did not see that twist coming.
Now I can see why it's a popular read. Honestly, the first half had me worried.

What!?!?! When I found out it was Kate I was stunned!! I was so creeped out when she was standing on the stairs watching Luc and Isa. In a creepy old house with the power off. I couldn't put it down from this point. I had to know what happened!

Then my mind was blown when I found out it was Luc! Wow, a double twist. No wonder she's a good mystery writer.

I just wish Isa didn't wade through rushing water with her daughter and have to catch her out of a fiery second story window. Poor Freya.

I hope Isa makes up with Owen. He seems like a nice guy.
I actually hope that Isa, Fatima, and Thea make it out of their predicament. What they did was wrong, but they were deceived by both Kate and Luc.

Only about 20 pages to go!! Part 5 here I come!!

I'm glad you enjoyed this part. I pretty much had everything figured out early, so unfortunately I can't agree with your thoughts on the author. I'm not really sure how, but I had a feeling throughout the book about Luc and ended up being right about it being him in general. Of course I didn't know what he had done specifically but I couldn't say that part was important to me. I had the same experience with the other book I read by her where I figured it out way in advance.

The only suspenseful part for me was whether or how Freya was going to be saved. Other than that, there was no suspense in this story for me and I wouldn't say that I felt a mysterious feeling from this story either. I think it's because I couldn't connect with Isa or sympathize with her so I was still outside the story, if that makes sense. This one never pulled me in.

Emily (emilyesears) | 27 comments I ended up just reading Rules 4 & 5 together. The reveal didn’t really shock me that much—I was just like “oh ok.” I think I just got tired of the book so I didn’t care at the end. Isa bugged me. There was a part where she said she needed all of her energy for Freya and then what was left went to her friends and there was none for Owen. That really annoyed me—that’s like the opposite of what a good relationship is. Anyway, I’m glad to be done with the book.

I just finished Part 4 and I am sooo glad to be almost done with this book. Emily I agree with your "oh ok" response. There weren't really enough twists and turns for this to be all that exciting. We knew that it had to be Kate or Luc. Now if it had been one of the others, like Isa, that would have maybe been more shocking.
I'm gonna get back and finish it up before I write anymore.
