Ella Murphy Jacob was in Florida, at his old house, when his peculiar friends came to visit him for a while. Jacob was teaching his friends the American culture and how to live a normal life when they made an unexpected discovery. Jacob's peculiar grandfather, Abe, has a bunker under his house that Jacob never knew about. Jacob found out about Abe's old job, which was to find peculiars and bring them to safe loops. Jacob even found out how to contact one of Abe's old co-workers who calls himself H. H gave Jacob and his friends a mission to find a peculiar living in New York and bring her to a new loop. The mission took an unexpected turn when Jacob and his friends were kidnapped by a peculiar gang in New York. They were held in captivity, being tortured and interrogated for a long time before being returned to Devil's Acre by Miss Peregrine. I liked how the author of this book put many unexpected twists into the plot of the story. This made the book much more interesting and exciting to read. I would rate this book a 4/5.
