A body is found sealed in a drum at the landfill next to the Charlotte Motor Speedway and Temperance Brennan is called in to handle the case. Wayne Gamble believes the body might be that of his sister or her boyfriend both of whom disappeared from the speedway 12 years ago. Tempe finds herself promising Wayne that she'll help investigate his sisters case. I've read the first three books in the series and skipped ahead to this one because I needed a book about auto racing. I can tell a few things have happened in Tempe's personal life but it didn't interfere with my enjoying the book. One thing that did bother me was in several places there is a long lists of questions Tempe was asking herself, these lists get repetitive and boring to read. I do plan on going back and reading more of this series.
