Raegan | 1283 comments For me-
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter, #1) by J.K. Rowling
The Lord of the Rings (The Lord of the Rings, #1-3) by J.R.R. Tolkien
The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1) by Suzanne Collins
And many more...

Twilight( I haven't actually read the whole thing because I couldn't get through it)
The Hunger Games
Divergent

I don't think the Hunger Games and Divergent are terrible, they just don't deserve the hype they've gotten.

Olivia Blood of Olympus
Chasing Redbird

benita (starscries) | 33 comments The Book Thief (had too high expectations)
Tried to read The Notebook, but ten pages in and it was so boring... (Probably going to read it and get it off my currently-reading list...)
Alice in Zombieland (thought it was going to be about alice going to a land full of zombies, but nah...)
Capital (I don't think it was "suited" for teenagers, and it was sooo boring...)

I thought The Hunger Games and Divergent were good and interesting, but I don't understand why everyone obsessed over them.

Yeah. I guess they don't quite fit this thread. I thought the first Divergent book was okay, but I really didn't like the others. I really didn't like the Hunger Games very much

Rhys (inkbottleburning) | 166 comments That's ok I haven't read Catching fire, Mockingjay, or Alligent, yet.

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

The Hunger Games(for a personal reason when it came to reading book 1 became to much for me, I still have to read book 2 and 3)
Twilight(I won't even touch that series with a ten foot pole, VAMPIRES DO NOT SPARKLE!)
Divergent(I got half way through the second one and just uh to much for me in my opinion an I still have to read the last one just to get it off my list)

Those are my thoughts not much else in popular books I have read yet to even list.

message 9: by James (new)

James (theadventurousbookreader) For me, the most popular book that I have read that other love that I dislike a lot is The Book Thief. I personally found the story to be bland for the most part and I really dislike Death's narration a lot since it was really too dark for my taste.

Same for me :(

message 11: by Reann (new)

Reann Oh really? I LOVE that book. I really like how it is from the POV of Death. I really think that's a cool concept plus I love books about the war so.

message 12: by Colleen (new)

Colleen | 65 comments I personally dont think the fault In our stars deserves all that much hype. I mean it wasn't bad but it definitely was a "life-changing book" or "favorite book of all time" It was just meh.

I totally agree.

anusha (bookishlyanusha) | 9 comments The Blood Of Olympus
I waited in anticipation for almost a year and it was completely disappointing. All the hype is only because fans really needed an ending and there it was.

The Fault in Our Stars

Twilight, The Iron Queen and The Perks of Being a Wallflower. I really don't get the fuss about these books.

And that was a Twilight fanfict too

message 27: by Hannah (new)

Hannah Lee (hlbookworm) Currently Reading Mockingjay. I expected more out of The Hunger Games. The movies make the story seem so intense and interesting, but it's just... Meh. The Divergent Series was good, but meh as well. The Fault In Our Stars would have been a good book if people didn't hype it up for me.

message 28: by Hannah (new)

Hannah Lee (hlbookworm) The House of Night series was so bad that I couldn't even finish through the third book... There's more than 5 books to the series

message 29: by Hannah (new)

Hannah Lee (hlbookworm) Shatter Me is another series that didn't exceed my expectations. People are crazy over this series, yet I could easily put the book down and read another...

Zombieslayer⚡Alienhunter (theslayingisthunter) | 173 comments I deleted my previous comment. I didn't see the 'worst' in the title. My bad.
