A large mountain range covered by pine trees inside the kingdom's territory. There are many caves scattered among the mountains and tunnels leading through it. It's believed that most of the SkyWing population lives on the mountains near the palace.

Faithseeker was flying for her life. After giving her name to Flare and Cinnabar in the pine forest, she'd said "'I will be in the Claws of the Clouds mountains if you want to find me at all?'" But why would they want to? She'd barely spoken to them!
She'd heard rumors that Foresight was living deep in the mountains, where it was said that the ancient 'dragonets of destiny' had lived for their first six years. She took a deep breath. Here I am. Now I can see if Foresight is really here... And if Frostwalker and I can really be together!

"Oh sure, we know you have a big crush on him" Lemon chuckled.

Without so much as a wing flap Mavi was out and flying. Not because of Sol's parents, no. He was trying to clear his head. I can't focus...All I see are...those eyes.....why? Why won't she leave my head? he thought as he flew only flapping ocassionally due to how much of a boost he got. why can't those beautiful eyes leave my head? he thought as he landed for a bit.

Mavi laid on his back looking up. "Am I really in love?" he said unsure if he was even saying it right. Mavi had always been the outcast, ever since he hatched. So "love" was a concept he only understood from how his mother treated him but this? He felt like his heart was going a hundred miles per second. Every time he thought of those eyes. Yes those eyes...the ones that felt like the star were staring into him. Why was it those eyes that made his heart feel like it would stop at any moment? "What IS love?" he said outloud as if not caring who heard him. He snorted and flew back to Sol and his family. "Sol..." Mavi said with a somewhat somber tone.

"You ok Mav?" Solar looked at him

"I think I'm fine but...." he paused. "As odd as it might sound....what's it like to be 'in love'? This concept is new to me since...." he looks down. "I've always been the outcast...but all of a sudden my heart won't slow down, I can't stop thinking of Phoenix, and I keep blushing whenever I see her." he says unsure if he even knows what to say on the topic.

Lemon squealed. "Love is when you feel a great amount of affection towards someone, when you care about them, to know when you like, or love, someone is what you just described!" she started jumping up and down and started flashing orange and yellow in excitement and happiness.

"Care about them...." He said almost like it's the first time he's said that. You notice how tired he looks, almost like he might collapse at any moment. He goes over to the map and puts it away. Just barely not tripping. "I'm....in love..." he says timidly still unsure if he really is. "....With Phoenix...." He says once again very timidly. "Why do I feel so nervous every time I say that?" he said looking for a place to sleep.

Lemon sighed, "Get some good rest-" Lemon was cut off by Coldfire and Phoenix flying into the cave (the cave is large). "YAY!" she bounced up again as Half-Moon sighed in a chuckle.

before he knew it Mavi was fast asleep...but the same nightmare continued causing him to wake up in a cold sweat. fresh air...I need fresh air. he thought. stepping out side the cave and sitting in the cold nights air. "Just like before...why....why the same nightmare? it's been months yet this one keeps coming back." he says silently. "At least it didn't wake the others....I think." He whispers. He then looks at Phoenix.even sleeping I can't help but blush at her....why? Why do....I feel this way? I know Lemon said I "care for her" but do I really?...I need to rest. he thinks stopping just in front of Phoenix. "....I.....love you...." He whispered so soft only a mouse would hear what he just said. then he headed back to bed.

The next morning he was up and waiting for Sol, and Cold. "The sun will be rising soon." he said not bothering to be quiet. As he felt it would wake them up faster. He was outside straeching his wings for a bit the folding them into a cloak like usual. "If they don't wake soon then it appears I'll have to wake them myself." He said with a hiss

Phoenix raised her head as Coldfire kicked her snout, "Hey" she blew a bit of fire at his foot as he yelped and Solar Eclipse jumped up and bared his venomous fangs at her.

"Up at last I see?" He said huffing as smoke blew from his nose. "The sun has almost risen. those who wish to come on a adventure follow me, and learn to rise earlier. Those who wish to stay in there normal life...do not." he said looking towards the sun to hide his blush. "We head to the Nightwing village both to cause a little chaos and to gain more wisdom." he spoke in his normal voice. Prepearing to react to whatever they say however wasn't easy. He knew Sol was in but Cold and Phoenix were another story.

"Such wise words from a dragon of cross" Phoenix said. "Anywho, C and Sol have no choice they'll come either way, Sol likes travel and C likes Sol so let's go." Lemon smiled and turned yellow and orange again as Coldfire blushed and shook his head smiling.

"Very well." he said no problem. "And one last thing." he said giving a cheecky smile. "Try and keep up." he turned around and fell into a free fall with his eyes close. His eyes flashed open as he undid his wings and glided upward.

Phoenix laughed and leapt after him, her wings closed tightly and her slim body angled down, she zipped past him and opened her wings right before she hit the ground, she zipped up and did a twirl in the air. Phoenix looked back and saw Coldfire slowly flying with his back facing the ground and Sol atop of him flying at the same pace and his back facing the sky. “Tone it down a bit love-birds!” she hissed with humor.

Mavi laughed like he never laughed before. so this is friendship?...I like it. he thought as he blew rings of blue fire then spined around creating a bit of a tornado around him. "Let's see you top that!" he said knowing somehow they would. Normally Mavi prefered grace over tricks but he'd figure he should give it a shot.

Phoenix raised one eye ridge and tossed her choker to him, her scales immediately started smoking, she grabbed some dried up leaves and threw them in the air, the fire fell and as it did she flapped her wings, the fire flew around her. She blew a flame and flapped her wings again and started a tornado like thing around her, but the fire flew slowly around her and stayed put somehow. “I can top anything”

"Oh really? Then how about a combo to make the love birds jellous?" Mavi said with the biggest smile on his face as he blew fire while spinning around then closed his wings going into a freefall but like before opened them before he started a forest fire.

Phoenix followed his lead as she drew a dragonet in the air, within the dragonet was a heart. She flew threw it and wrote "C+S" inside it.

"HAHAHA PERFECT!!!" Mavi said not realizing , as he came back up, he touched noses with Phoenix and began to blush reder then any flame. Why am I so nervous? He thought looking into her eyes. He could feel his heart pounding from her beautiful eyes, to her voice, to even the way she flies. I-I'm in love....with you Phoenix. he thought.

Phoenix blushed a bit then quickly backed up, she saw Coldfire staring at her and she growled at him playfully.

"uuumm...Y-yeah...G-Good work." Mavi said trying to hide his blush. should I just tell her? He thought unsure of what to do. He never expected to fall in love so all of this was a shock to him. he shook his head and took the lead again. "lets make camp. at this pace we should be at the nightwing village in a couple days..." he said as he looked back he stared into Phoenix eyes then quickly turned to face forward. "C-Come on." he said slowly landing near a rocky area. "This'll do. Alright! lesson one for anyone new to this! we ruff it! Meaning we find and make camps, as well as hunt our own food if we don't have any left over." Mavi says as he makes a fire.

Phoenix put her choker back on and fell behind with Coldfire as Sol caught up to Mavi.

"To those new to "ruffing it" welcome to a basic part of adventuring life." he say as he shot a small blast of fire to make a camp fire. "were fortunate to find this place. because Rule one. We find or make camp ourselves as well as hunt our own food if non is left over. But thanks to Sol and his parents we have enough food to last at least a couple days." Mavi said with a snort of smoke as he paces. "Rule two. Anything like a map, or even a animus item is extreamely useful. Maps can guide us. and animus items, Like my satchel and Phoenix's choker can give us a major advantage. What do I mean? I literally can't speak without this bag. And the final rule for now. Stick. Together. That fancy flying we did? though I doubt it did, might have drawn attention. because of this we sleep, we eat, and we fly together....AM I CLEAR?!" He roars as fire snorts from his nose.

"Yessir" Phoenix looked straight at him as if he was her commander. "Well, I can add a rule. If you ever are separated from the group, do NOT move around or try to signal for us, we will retrace our steps, if told to run, we will have a meeting place." Sol looked Coldfire directly in the eyes. "Got it" Coldfire smirked at Sol.

"Good. speaking of which. Phoenix. Due to your military experince. You'll be my..."Second in command" I suppose but that's not why were here." he sat down trying his best not to blush. "Tell me...Why did you join me?" he asked them. "Was it glory? or do you truly wish to leave your old life behind?" He said looking at each of them. "I ask this because I went of my quest for wisdom...to leave my old life behind...but what about you? What made you want to see the world for maybe the first time?" He looked at phoenix. "Phoenix...I sense you have a...particular reason...let's hear it." he said with a gentle smile.

Phoenix looked directly into his eyes, for the first time in forever her eyes showed hurt, pain, destruction. "The Skywings never really accepted me nor Koi, Koi was always treated better because he had too little fire, despite the fact that we shared... Skywings would always say how dangerous and destructive I am and I'm a monster. I wanted to leave for the longest time and even Hawk wanted me gone, so I took the advantage of this and ran with it..." she looked down at her talons, a tear rolled down her cheek and hit the ground.

"...."Mavi on pure instinct hugged her. "To tell you the truth...my reason was much the same....after my mother went missing....there was nothing there for me. I packed my things....a for the first time...I flew...free. We do not choose our fates...but what we can do...is try and make them in our favor...." He hugged her once more then returned to his spot all the while internally freaking out over what he just did. "Coldfire...would you like to share?" he smiled warmly at Cold.

"Well, my reason is not at all much tragic, but much more.. I'll let you decide." he smirked and stared at Sol who was in front of him so he couldn't see. "Someone I have been deeply in love with since the day I met decided to go on this trip, and trust me it's not as obvious as you'd think it was" Sol's face froze as he looked to his talons. "It's Sol" he mouthed to Phoenix and Mav and then he mouthed "Don't tell him, I wanna freak him out" he mouthed this without thinking anything of it so Sol couldn't hear it from his mind.

Mavi noded. "Sol I know you came because of our deal. Now you might find this odd but...I've never been in love before...Not until recently where I met a girl with the most beautiful eyes. Because of my lack of understanding on the subject of "love" I asked him to teach me about it with what he knows." mavi says dead serious.

"I'm a teacher" Sol said with much lack of humor as his eyes slowly watered up and Coldfire made a "awww nooo" face and hugged him from the back, "It's very obvious why I'm here, don't freak out love" Sol turned pink and blushed. (beautiful)

Mavi smiled. "as for the girl...I rather keep the between Sol and I...because...." his smile faded to a more serious expression. "I want to be able not only to treat her right...but say those three words..once I feel ready." he spoke seriously. "But I will say this...If she loves me back....I feel like...I'll finally have purpose again...that being to care and protect the one I love." his seriousness faded into embaressment. "Sorry if that sounded a little serious but that just shows you...how much she means to me."

Phoenix started digging her claws into the dirt in hidden anger.

Mavi noticed this. "But here's a hint: She wears a Choker." As Mavi begins to hum love like you from Steven Universe.

Phoenix still dug at the ground as she knew many dragons of the Sky Kingdom wore many jewelry and the juveniles wore chokers and horn rings.

Mavi laughed "But her choker is a...special kinda choker." He smiled and said "need another hint?" he thinks. "hmm what's something that's not so obvious but narrows it down...Here's one. We met at the ice kingdom." he began to hum love like you again

"Just leave it there..." (Phoenix isn't the brightest when it comes to these things)

(Ah gotcha) Mavi looks at Phoenix. "you now what? Let me think..." he says Sol should I go for it? nod yes or no. he thinks

Sol shook his head no, knowing even despite the fact that Phoenix liked Mav, she'd reject him cause of her past hurtful relationships.

Mavi frowns "no...I guees that's it" Mavi just thinks I love you...Phoenix and tries not to show any blushing for awhile. "Phoenix...listen." Mavi looks her dead in the eye. "I know you've had it rough but...chin up...I know things will get better...Here." Mavi hands her a pendent. "This..was my mothers....when she disappeared this is all that was left...please I know I upset you...take it as a apology gift...because....I feel like...you and this pendent have...some sort of bond." he said but in his mind he wanted to say those three words so much.

Phoenix looked into his eyes. "I can enchant that to link to Koi's 'Sharing Fires' and unenchant yours." Coldfire smiled.

Coldfire did the unenchantment and stuff then stood guard at one side of the make-shift camp.

(dude re-do your one with "two is better then one" it glitched and doubled.) Mavi went to do the night shift yet his eyes...they looked like that of a soldier with PTSD. He quickly shook himself out of it and got back to work. As he guarded the camp he remained still and motionless.

Coldfire stood as he watched Sol sleep peacefully, Phoenix will need a bit of time before you tell her.

Mavi didn't respond...in fact he wasn't even moving at least not for a bit till he shook him self free. "H-Huh? oh...OK" Mavi looked...almost like he'd seen a ghost. He was sickly pale and in general didn't look well.
