Kaitlyn Brewer | 5 comments Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I've heard a bit about how St. Patrick's Day is about more than just wearing green and three-leaf clovers, and I know St. Patrick has a really fascinating life. But not much beyond that. Does anyone have any good books about him to recommend?

How the Irish Saved Civilization The Untold Story of Ireland's Heroic Role from the Fall of Rome to the Rise of Medieval Europe  by Thomas Cahill

This is a book about his impact on civilization during the decline of the Roman Empire. A very interesting perspective.

Interesting! I'll have to add it to my list. I've been trying to learn more about church history (and I have time now anyway). Thanks!
