The pre-marketing ahead of its March 10 release was very strong and the premise had me hooked: corporate lawyer Dannie has her life planned out until she has a dream (premonition?) that she is engaged to a stranger 5yrs from today, which throws her off track for the next 4.5 years until she meets said stranger in real life. The actual story was not a lighthearted romance but quite an artfully written story about the main character and the development of her deep friendship with her lifelong best friend. It is a quick, 1 to 2-sitting read and a page turner. The story does have some predictable plot twists and the resolution at the end may be too tidy for some, but overall, I really liked the author’s writing style. Not maudlin, often witty and fast-paced enough to keep the reader going. 4/5 stars.
