Jessika (jessika_56) Due to me understanding the rules of this challenge more clearly, I'm going back and adding in some more books I read earlier this year that count toward this challenge. Here for Mt. Blanc

In semi-backwards order:
25. Green The Beginning and the End (The Circle, #0) by Ted Dekker 3/5 stars, acquired 8/2013, read 4/2014
26. The Giver (The Giver, #1) by Lois Lowry 5/5 stars, acquired 10/2012, read 3/2014
27. The Guns of the South by Harry Turtledove 2/5 stars, acquired 4/2012, read 3/2014
28. White The Great Pursuit (The Circle, #3) by Ted Dekker 3/5 stars, acquired 8/2013, read 3/2014
29. Lord of Chaos (Wheel of Time, #6) by Robert Jordan 4/5 stars, acquired before 9/2011 when I joined GR, read 3/2014
30. Red The Heroic Rescue (The Circle, #2) by Ted Dekker 3/5 stars, acquired 8/2014, read 2/2014
31. Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns) by Mindy Kaling 3/5 stars, acquired 2/2013, read 1/2014
32. The 7-Day Prayer Warrior Experience (Free One-Week Devotional) by Stormie Omartian 4/5 stars, acquired 12/2013, read 1/2014
33. Extraordinary by Amanda McGee 3/5 stars, acquired 8/2013, read 1/2014

Ok, and with that I'm caught up! I think 3 more books is doable!

Jessika (jessika_56) 34. Timescape (Dreamhouse Kings, #4) by Robert Liparulo 4/5 stars, acquired 4/2013, 4th in a series. Lots more time travel going on here, and the main plot is starting to unfold. And I'm jumping straight into book 5, which I'm sure will quickly be devoured.

Jessika (jessika_56) Merry Christmas, everyone!

The people walking in darkness
have seen a great light;
on those living in the land of deep darkness
a light has dawned.
Isaiah 9:2

C. (Comment, never msg). (riedel) Very nice. Thank you for that lovely reference this morning. Merry Christmas to all of you too!

Jessika (jessika_56) 35. Whirlwind (Dreamhouse Kings, #5) by Robert Liparulo 3.5/5 stars, acquired 4/2013, 5th in a series. Either I'm getting a little burned out with the series, or the books are getting a little repetitive. Nothing much happened in the book other than world-jumping, which would be exciting if I hadn't read books 2, 3, 4 and 5 within such a short time frame. Taking a break before I start the final book.

Jessika (jessika_56) 36. Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson 3.5/5 stars, acquired before I joined GR in 2011. Read half in middle school and it's stuck with me all these years to finish it. Powerful story.

And with that, I've finished Mt. Vancouver!! Woohoo!

C. (Comment, never msg). (riedel) Way to go! Yes, even a fast series should take a break after about three books, I find. Maybe "Whirlwind" would have received higher marks and you would have enjoyed that it was 'nothing but world-jumping'. I went on an Annette Blair binge, whom I adore but even then needed to stop ODing on her. Then you love it when you go back.

Jessika (jessika_56) Exactly. I knew I was getting burned out, so on my goodreads rating, I did give it the benefit of the doubt and rounded up to 4/5 stars. :)
