I’m glad that I’m seeing alot more of my husband now. He used to work long hours, so I wouldn’t see much of him during the week. But now he is working from home, and I get to have lunch with him every day. (He’s up too early for me for breakfast, but I could have breakfast with him if I wanted.) So, that’s a good thing.

Ashley (ashleym99) I have more time as I do not have to commute to work and I am lucky that I am an essential person for my company so I do have a job. I finally feel appreciated and my boss realized how much I do.

I am still going for walks and exercising, but do have more reading time which is good for me. I do miss being able to go out and as soon as I can, I will see my friends, but at least for now there are still ways to communicate.

Fran | 710 comments I love being able to live and learn and laugh with my youngest three. We bake a lot from scratch and read a lot, though our library selections are dwindling rapidly. And gratitude is viewed in a whole new light, which is definitely a positive.

I am getting a hell of a lot more time with my husband, just like Cheryl mentioned. He's a businessman so he has to take a break from work, which works fine for both of us! He's helping me out in cleaning the house as the house help is not available till the 1st of April and also sometimes cooks for me. We both are definitely drinking a lot and sleeping till late to our heart's content.
Also getting to spend so much time with my fur babies, especially the 2 new additions.
I anyway work from home, so my reading time is a bit restricted now that Vishal is at home, though I don't mind it :D

Heena,

Were your cats confused, at first, when they saw both you and your husband at home so much?

Oh, yes! They are used to seeing me at home since I stay at home only, but they are so thrilled to have Vishal at home! He's the one who pampers them silly, especially our first two girls, Eva and Katie - he takes them out in the garden and lets them eat the grass and play in the mud and grooms them with their brush and they both love it and him to bits! Also, he's the one who plays with them and keeps on running around the house and they all love it! Lol.

Ravi Sharma A lot of things came out of this period which I call QuaranTime! Here's my list:

Had no time to read books before this and here is what I caught up with:

The Silent Patient - Alex Michaelides
The Woman in Window - AJ Finn
Prey - Michael Chricton
Before I go to Sleep - SJ Watson
The Associate - John Grisham
The Partner - John Grisham
Shadowland - Discarding after 30% as not gripping enough
The Institute - Stephan King - Discarded after 20% not gripping enough

What I learned:
Discard books even the bestsellers if they dont hook you, and even if you have read nearly half of these books.

Dont pursue reading to check lists but because you feel an uplift

We need too little to be happy. A little food, minimal clothing. So all this rush and business is making us zombies and turning our planet uninhabitable

Relationships are important and time nurtures them. Busy jobs deaden them

Cooking your own food, washing your own clothes, cleaning your house yourself is 100 times better than being dependent on half hearted people who work and treat these important think as a job to get over with

Working yourself is harder than going to the gym and healthier too

The Virus is doing to us what we have been doing to everything else in the planet. we wish for it to go, but what about us? Will we mend our ways? Stop being so malevolent towards every form of life?

Would love to hear others too.

Regards,

Ravi Sharma,
Co-Author of novels:
The Quest of the Sparrows
DAREDREAMERS- A Start-up of Superheroes

Thank you Ravi for sharing your experience. You can share about the books you read in other threads dedicated to the books.
Take care.
