Kayla | 28 comments I saw the movie already, which was good. The book is supposedly much better.

Bailey | 23 comments Read the book quite recently! It is really a great novel.. I found myself laughing out loud throughout the whole book. I'm excited to hear you thoughts. I haven't seen the movie yet!

Erin This is the book I was thinking of choosing for this week! I'm excited to see others are choosing it and hopefully some discussion will follow.

Tina (tjlich) Great, quirky read! "Inappropriate" family matters are thrown into a goulash of laughter, tears, bad behavior, immaturity, regret, growth, discovery, forgiveness and sarcasm. It's a light read-one that'll have you laughing more than thinking. Who doesn't need that in a book once in awhile?

Tina (tjlich) On the movie: I think it was cast well and enjoyed it almost as much as the book. It's one I could watch over and over and probably never tire of.

Berit | 138 comments Didn't even know this was a movie :-) but I have The book so I will read it for this one.

Samantha | 122 comments So many choices for a book made into a movie but this one just stands out so I will be reading it for this one. I look forward to discussing once done.

Brittany (brittanywichtendahl) | 27 comments I'm planning on reading this one for my "Movie" book as well! I didn't see the movie, but when the ads for it were playing on TV, I thought it looked funny and heartfelt. I'm excited to read the book, since the book is always better. :D

Brittany (brittanywichtendahl) | 27 comments Finished this one earlier today. I wanted to try and spread it out this week, but I couldn't put it down once I started. It was great. I felt it didn't slow down once and the plot was something that I think could without a doubt happen within a family nowadays. I loved it. I'm planning on watching the movie soon, hopefully it matches up with the book.

Berit | 138 comments Good to know, just started it this morning it is really good maybe I'll finish it tonight :-)cI was thinking I'd watch the movie if I finished it before this weekend was over and it's a long weekend :-)

Kayla | 28 comments Just finished this. I really enjoyed it, I think the movie was done well but (as always) the book was better.

Berit | 138 comments Just finished the book as well :-) I enjoyed it a lot looking forward to watching the movie.I can totally see this Book as a movie!

Tina (tjlich) I was hoping all who were reading it for this week would find it as appealing as I did when I read it. Dysfunction, humor and love. What is there not to relate to?

Samantha | 122 comments Finished this last night and still not really sure how I feel about it. I thought the idea for the story was great and overall enjoyed reading it. Seemed like the whole family was flawed but supportive in their own crazy way. I found myself smiling as I read it and I was eager to see how the various plots would resolved themselves so hard to put it down.

The one big issue for me was a pervasive sexual element that often didn't add anything to the overall story in at least one case really took away from it.
