Mark Ludmon | 13 comments HG Wells’s The Invisible Man has a duplicate entry under the misspelt The Invisable Man. Is it possible to merge the two under the correctly spelt The Invisible Man?

Mark Ludmon | 13 comments Amazing! That was quick. Thank you on behalf of the book’s many readers.

sorry - the cover didn't load when I made the change.

Mark Ludmon | 13 comments That seems a shame as it’s clearly a spelling error made by one amateur publishing company - a vanity publishing company called CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform which publishes only to order. Maybe it needs to be amended to reflect that it’s only that specific publication as it’s confusing and dividing users.

Mark Ludmon | 13 comments I’ve looked up CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform. They were a print-on-demand company that posted listings on Amazon of hundreds of books that were out of copyright, quickly (and shoddily) mocking up artwork for each of them. It’s possible this book was never even printed and certainly not with this cover as it has a glaring spelling mistake on it. Surely common sense should prevail in this case as it means that genuine reviews of The Invisible Man - a popular classic novel - are accidentally being listed separately on what appears to be a different title.

Emily | 17486 comments Unfortunately this does happen occasionally. We can't change the title. The book is properly combined with the other editions. All reviews show up no matter which edition you are viewing, unless you sort/filter them.

Mark Ludmon | 13 comments Thanks for explaining that, Emil. It looked like it was a separate listing but if all the reviews and info are combined under the correct title, that’s great. It’s just a shame this rogue piece of amateurish promotional artwork has gained a foothold in there.
