ive got two copies at home. ones a paperback but the other one is a cute little vintage one i found at some markets once and the pages are brown and its got that old book smell! its also got an inscription in the front which is probably years old which i think is so cool! Im gonna put a picture on the pinterest board

its a collab Pinterest board so anyone can pin stuff in it for the group. the link is in the social media discussion thread :)
i’m finding it a bit childish (i guess i would because it’s a children’s novel) but i’m hoping it gets better!
I've read the first three chapters and im loving it so far! I agree that its childish but i actually like it because its really nostalgic! i used to watch the movie all the time when i was little and all the memories are coming back haha! the story certainly had no hesitancy in starting instantly. Alice fell down the rabbit hole on the 2nd page! wasn't at all expecting how fast paced and also bizarre it is but im really enjoying it :D
i’ve read the first 5 chapters and i’m honestly just getting annoyed at how often she changes her size ha! ii would say it’s a 3 star so far, but i have hopes that it gets better :)
I've read first 5 too now and omg you're right she really does grow and shrink a lot! I mean Alice even addresses it herself to the Caterpillar (who I can only think of as Alan Rickman lol) - "only one doesn't like changing so often, you know"
![dagger [ain't that a kick in the head] (aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh)](https://images.gr-assets.com/users/1655308429p1/106560415.jpg)
Yeah, I had to read it for class just before the whole Corona thing started. My favorite character would have to be the mad hatter.
i think if i watch the film afterwards i may like it better because i can visualise and connect with the characters more.
yeah you should! one of the main reasons im enjoying it is because its like watching the film in my head as i go
ikr! its actually quite a funny book and im loving the quotes
"It's really dreadful," she muttered to herself, "the way all the creatures argue. It's enough to drive one crazy!"
"it would have made a dreadfully ugly child...and she began thinking over other children she knew who might do well as pigs" Alice is pretty savage ahaha

i’ve just finished, i was overall just confused about the whole thing, and ended up rating it 2 stars.

im a slow reader so im still steadily making my way through the book haha
I just finished this one chapter where Alice is talking to the mock turtle and i love all the puns!
they called their teacher tortoise because they "taught us". theyre called lessons because the time "lessens" each day.
the one word id use to describe this book is just absurd and its great!
