am i the only one who thinks cog is the best first book that cassie clare has written?

Okay okay so I haven’t read it yet because I’m not caught up on the other books but I just need a moment of appreciation for this book because Cordelia is half Persian and it’s my first time seeing the Persian community being represented in such a popular book franchise and I’m afghan so when I found out I cried (no joke) and not only that but TLH is a continuation of TID which is my favorite trilogy ever created so this book- though I haven’t read it yet- already holds a special place in my heart and I need to get caught up ASAP!

sarah, cassie clare actually said that you dont need to read the other books to rea cog. i recommend u at least read tid and the short novellas where we meet the characters we see in the book ( the midnight heir, nothing but shadows, every exquisite thing, cast long shadows and maybe the whitechapel fiend)

i prefer the cog cover to choi cover, but still it's such a beautiful cover and it's BLUEE, one of my fav colors (i literally have blue hair, that's how much i like it)

also i occasionally ask cassie quoestins on tumblr and i asked her something about elias, when he arrives and if he will couse any problems. this is her answer:

He has kept Jem away to cover up his alcoholism, correct — there is one other issue, which gets brought up in COI (it’s related to the shocking thing he says to James. Which makes it sound like maybe he’s into something weird, like Edwardian porn of penguins, so I can say it’s not that.)

I would say yes but that seems like a good thing, opposed to a bad thing. And from what we’ve been told it seems Elias isn’t really a good person at this point in life, so I doubt it’s a good thing he did
