How about a folk horror watch-along during Spring into Horror? The Dark Secret of Harvest Home (based on the fantastic Thomas Tryon novel, Harvest Home) is available to watch for free on YouTube. It was originally a television miniseries so it's two parts. Part 1 is an hour and a half. Part 2 is 2 hours, 17 minutes. We could watch both in one night, or break it up into two nights. Weigh in below on the following parameters: 1) Watch in one night 2) Watch in two nights 3) What night of the week is best for you. We will narrow down a specific date(s) once we determine the other questions.

Steven Karalash (mysternightowl) | 9 comments I'm all in for that! Seeing both parts at once is my preference. Probably Friday night is best for me, but I think I am somewhat open, if we don't stay up too late :)

Hey, guys! Here are the options for the watch along:

Friday, Apr 17 - Part One/Saturday, Apr 18 - Part Two (8:00 pm CST/9:00 pm EST)

Friday, Apr 24, Part One/Saturday, April 25 - Part two (8:00 pm CST/9:00 pm EST)

I realize the second option, April 25 is the 24 hour readathon, but I put the option since we only have two more weekends after this one and this weekend is probably too soon. I could make it work probably so if this weekend would be better, April 10 and 11, let me know.

Just comment with the option your prefer. Thanks!

Steven Karalash (mysternightowl) | 9 comments This weekend is pretty booked up already for me. I should be good for the 17th and 18th. Dewey's readathon takes alot out of me. ;)

The mid-event check-in post for the readathon has full details on our watch-along. The majority of votes on the three places I had people weigh-in (poll in FB group, poll on Twitter, and this post here in Goodreads group) were for April 24 and 25. Again, full details on dates, times, and our discussion platform (Slack) invite link are in the post here: https://seasonsreading.blogspot.com/2...

I apologize Steven...I had to go with the majority. All those who voted for the 24/25 better show up. Just sayin'.

Elyse (winesaboutbooks) | 565 comments Maybe "watch a movie based on a book" will be a Bingo square for Dewey's! If there is a Bingo board, which I hope there is!
