Trip (shardsofromance) | 29 comments Im mainly a stand alone fan as often series have disappointed me later on in the books, which ruins the whole experiance. Also I've got so many series to catch up on at the moment, that I've been trying to focus on either standalone or completing some before I start any more...

Janelle (sereneged_nelle) | 53 comments I love trilogies because compared to stand alones, there is more room to what more can happen so more room for the development of characters and the story. Yet it is not too long to become dragging or so. It’s like the perfect amount for a story for me.

˙⋆✮ Anny ✮⋆˙ (annithebookprincess) I like stand alones too. I don't mind trilogies or series (especially in the fantasy genre cause more books leave more room to expand the world) but I absolutely hate it when I go into a book thinking it's a stand alone and in the end it turns out to be the first in a trilogy. I wish all authors/publishers marked that on the cover in a way.

Jericho McKraven (jerichomckraven) I love both! Trilogies keep me entertained for longer but I wouldn't pass up a good standalone either. I'm just addicted to good books!

I used to be afraid to DNF things, but the more I read, the less guilty I feel abandoning books that disappoint me to take up one that won't. 😁

I like the three of them. In my case the stand alone books always leave me wanting more, the trilogies keep me motivated to finish them to know what's going to happen and the series makes me want to devour them in less than days even though they are extensive

Doug I just found this thread. I am writing a trilogy 3x500 pges. Whew! You can drop them one at a time or read in any order and that was hard to accomplish. I feel like going on forever but I have other books I am working on. It is good to hear your opinions. I won't publish until they are complete and yes there will be a warning that it is one of a set. So hello out there.
