The final scene is when Ji is found. Your thoughts about how it was orchestrated, what happened and the outcome?

Jo Ann (jojog) | 72 comments Hand me a tissue!!! I was heartbroken for Ji. Katherine opening her heart and home to Ji, and to Alice (!) was the perfect ending! I'm hoping we get a cameo of these characters in future books.

That was magical! They really thought this out beautifully, allaying Ji’s fears by surrounding her with faces she knew Hayes counted as friends or friendly. And Katherine gets some level of justice by taking in the child of her love’s heart. It was perfection.

Joanna | 139 comments I cried happy and sad tears. Happy because Kate was free from her bondage and would love Ji has her own. Happy because Ji would know a mother's love. Sad because Nicholas wouldn't be there to share it with them.

Beautifully stated, Joanna.

Phrynne | 607 comments The idea of gathering all those familiar faces around her was brilliant! I had to grab a tissue at that point. I had been wondering what was going to happen to Alice and the author solved that as well.

Sometimes you just need a happy ending. I was moved by it and was hoping all of you were, too.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 242 comments That is one of the best scenes ever. I just listened to the last four chapters again, and cried harder this time than the first. When Ji was afraid that she hurt Kate with the truth it breaks my heart, but then Ji is surrounded by love. She has a whole group of people who will watch over her.

It is definitely one of those scenes that ranks high on my list of favorites. I reread it, too.
