Any other topics you’d like to discuss? Your overall opinion of the story?

Jo Ann (jojog) | 72 comments Overall, this is right up there as one of the best, which is pretty amazing for the 15th book in a series.

I so loved this story because it incorporated every element I love about this series and engineered them flawlessly. It’s an ugly story with a beautiful ending.

Joanna | 139 comments Two things:

1) Where was Alex? Gibson never mentioned her and she was never around when Sebastian went to visit.

2) It was mentioned earlier about the similarities between Nicholas and Sebastian's lives. One thing I thought of was how Nicholas's father treated him by disowning him. Although Hendon had threatened the same to Sebastian, I don't think he ever would have went that far. Even though Hendon is not Sebastian's biological father, he has always loved him as his own. Sebastian should be thankful for the father he was given.

Joanna, I wondered the same about Alex! It was unusual for her not to be mentioned.

I’m with you about Hendon. I don’t think he would ever give up on Sebastian. He truly loves him and it made a difference. Poor Nicholas.

Phrynne | 607 comments I read it in one day which shows how much I enjoyed it. Now we have to wait for the next one!!!

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 694 comments I've been behind on this series but I just finished Who Slays the Wicked so I'll be moving on to this one soon (and will head over to answer the questions for Wicked) but thought I'd drop off this little interview that C.S. Harris did via livestream with The Poisoned Pen. I'm intrigued at the mention that she's currently working on book #17 where Sebastian and Hero go to Paris!!

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 242 comments I thought about Hendon too. I agree I don't think he would have disowned Sebastian, but I don't think Sebastian knows that. He is just beginning to wrap his head around how much Hendon loves him.

I was wondering about Alex too. The only thing I can think of is Gibson didn't have many scenes in this book. The focus is on Sebastian and Hero as much as the murder.

I think I saw snippets of this interview before not the whole thing. I thought I read the next book is when they go to France, but I guess we need to wait for two books down the road.
