I tend to trust the narrator of any story I'm reading when I'm just starting to read, until something happens that makes me change my mind. I feel that Frank was actually a pretty reliable narrator, but I did keep in mind while reading that I was only getting his side of the story. My opinion of him as the narrator did not change throughout the story. I felt the same level of "trust" in his version of what happened from beginning to end.

I hadn't thought of Frank as gullible but now that you say it he was pretty easily manipulated for being such a "tough-guy-I-can-do-whatever-I-want" kind of man.
