this is one of my all-time favorite books, I am so excited to discuss this with you Aleena and Lucy! I enjoy it more every single time I read it, and I can’t wait to relive all of my favorite memories from city of bones. I’m a few chapters in, what do you guys think so far?

i didn't have time to start it yet. i'm starting it this morning (where i live is now morning) and i'm so excited :p

I'm on chapter 4. Its very funny so far and I like the plot, but not too sure about the writing style. Simon is super-cute though.

ooh yes I love Simon! really the entire cast of characters is so amazing, definitely one of the best I’ve ever read about in a book!

where are you guys in the book? i only managed to read the first chapter

I’m on chapter 6. I’ve been kinda in a reading slump lately but rereading one of my all-time faves has really helped me get out of it :) with pretty much every scene in the book I’m either reminiscing about the first time I read it or trying to process it because there have been several huge points in the book so far that I completely forgot happened

I've been zooming through, now at chapter 22. Sorry, I just haven't been able to put it down! As I'm going through I'm liking it more and more. I really don't know why it took me this long to pick up a Shadowhunters book.

haha, i was also really shocked and confused when i read that part. and also you can say any spoiler you want here, since i am pretty sure both me and izzy have read this book before :)

i found the audiobook online, and i really want to pick it up tomorrow while doing some homework or maybe drawing ( i've been in the mood to draw, which havent happened in a long time) and hopefully i do since i really want to read this, but i cant convince myself to pick it up haha

alenna, now that you are liking city of bones, hopefully you pick up the rest of the shaodwhunters books. they get better and better ( like my favorite book is lady midnight or chain of gold, they are both so good and i just can't choose)

Yup I definitely will, but it'll probably be a while as I have no spare holds on Libby at the moment :(

I'm simultaneously grossed out by the incest and impressed that Cassandra Clare had the guts to do that

the incest wasn't something that i was happy while reading it, but i really liked how cassie wraped up the series (also tmi is my least favourite series out of the ones that are out, still i love it, but her writing style evilves to better and her books start having stronger plots)

Have you read her Harry Potter fanfic? I'm reading it now, its really funny but nowhere near as good as City of Bones

also if you type online city of ashes pdf, you might find the book (i sometimes do that when i really want to read a book, but i don't own it), or you might find the audiobook on youtube

oh... i never heard of it. but i don't really read fanfic. its just not my thing. the only fanfic that i actually remember reading was carry on (which i don't really know if i can call fanfic) and i didn't really liked it.

kind of... like i am in a big reading mood, but i am still reading at a slower pace than i read last month. i still read a lot in this few months since the beginning of the year but i feel like i can more...
