The group voted to read the Science & Technology nominee Invisible Women: Data Bias in a World Designed for Men in May. The winner for this genre was Will My Cat Eat My Eyeballs?: Big Questions from Tiny Mortals About Death. Have you read any of the other nominees for this award? Which have you read and what did you think? Which was your favorite?

Do you plan to read any of them in the future? How about setting up a buddy read of one that you are interested in this month? Use this thread to discuss and find a buddy!

Schedule buddy reads here, then set up a separate thread to discuss.

I don't tend to read a lot of science & tech books, but some of these look really interesting to me. I read the winner Will My Cat Eat My Eyeballs? with the group this month and thought it was really well done. I think it's worth a read if it's something you're considering.

I am also interested in the group choice Invisible Women. I didn't plan to read this one, but saw that it was winning the poll, so I bought it in a sale. I hope to read it with the group in May.

I would like to read Mama's Last Hug, Indistractable and maybe Burnout. There are a couple of others that look interesting as well, but it would need to have that perfect combination of interest, time, and book availability among other things for me to actually read them. If I read the 5 I have listed, that will be a lot from this genre for me.

Vicki Willis | 1033 comments I am interested in The Perfect Predator: A Scientist's Race to Save Her Husband from a Deadly Superbug: A Memoir, but don't own it.

Like you, Kristie this isn't a go to genre, but am reading Will My Cat Eat My Eyeballs? Big Questions from Tiny Mortals About Death and think it is excellent.

Savanes | 2107 comments I read Digital Minimalism: Choosing a Focused Life in a Noisy World and while I really enjoy the subject and the ideas formulated, I really didn't like the writing style...
There are not many books in that category this year that appeal to me. I still might read How To: Absurd Scientific Advice for Common Real-World Problems

Deborah | 129 comments How To: Absurd Scientific Advice for Common Real-World Problems is funny, but maybe better reading small bits at a time rather than reading straight through.

I really recommend Because Internet: Understanding the New Rules of Language it is much more about the internet than about language to me.

Can't decide if I want to read Digital Minimalism: Choosing a Focused Life in a Noisy World
