Esha Nas | 5 comments 2020 is here, and it's off to a rocky start. Let's try to lighten it up a bit.

I've just done some spring-cleaning of my to-read list, and could fill it out again. I think it'll be neat-o to springboard a new decade list of new books, and whatever I find, I'll drop it here. Suggestions and pointers welcome.

Oh, and, happy new years, and stay safe.

Esha Nas | 5 comments Books I've found so far in 2020:

Titanborn

"In Titanborn, Schutter weaves the vivid world of Shangri-La — a colony living in isolation on Saturn’s moon, Titan — and the genetically-engineered humans known as Titanborn, whose task is simply to prove they can survive.

Meera is just one cog in the wheel of Shangri-La. Assigned to fulfill a role, Meera struggles to find a place for herself and overcome the trauma of loss as Titan casually takes the lives of her fellow colonists.

When a friend goes missing, Meera must choose to face her fears to save not just him, but all of the Titanborn, as the colony begins to unravel.

Can Meera and her people overcome the dangers of the inhospitable moon, or will the Titanborn fall to an enemy closer to home? "

Sixteenth Watch

"The Coast Guard must prevent the first lunar war in history.
A lifelong Search-and-Rescuewoman, Coast Guard Captain Jane Oliver is ready for a peaceful retirement. But when tragedy strikes, Oliver loses her husband and her plans for the future, and finds herself thrust into a role she’s not prepared for. Suddenly at the helm of the Coast Guard’s elite SAR-1 lunar unit, Oliver is the only woman who can prevent the first lunar war in history, a conflict that will surely consume not only the moon, but earth as well"

Frozen Orbit

"Set to embark on NASAs first expedition to the outer planets, the crew of the spacecraft Magellan learns someone else has beaten them by a few decades: a top-secret Soviet project codenamed Arkangel."

Honorable late 2019 mentions:

The Last Dance

"At the heart of a mystery unfolding in space, the opposing forces make a treacherous journey between Earth and Mars."

Honorable 2018 mention I haven't found here:

Vagabonds

"A century after the Martian war of independence, a group of kids are sent to Earth as delegates from Mars, but when they return home, they are caught between the two worlds, unable to reconcile the beauty and culture of Mars with their experiences on Earth in this spellbinding novel from Hugo Awardwinning author Hao Jingfang."
