Thanks to the person put this in the recommendations thread.

So there's a fever all over the world, and people are dying in droves. Particularly women. There's no water, or Toilet Paper, and cruise ships are stuck on the water full of sick people. Um, Meg Elison - are you psychic?

From there it's kind of a Walking Dead type story of good guys vs. bad guys, adventure, survival, culty stuffs, etc. Throw in some sexual fluidity and you've got this book.

Though definitely follows the post-apocalyptic formula, it was all really original. I totally enjoyed it.

glad someone else is talking about this one..... it was a 5 star read for me last year!
