Which book has someone spoiled for you the worst? Use the spoiler cover up, please!

The worst spoiler for me was in Keeper of the Lost cities
(view spoiler)[ my friend accidentally spoiled that Mr. Forkle dies. At first I didn't believe her and then I read on and I cried (hide spoiler)]

Another spoiler was in the last Keeper of the lost cities book where she slipped out that (view spoiler)[One of the councilors was Sophie's mom (hide spoiler)]

I basically allowed the whole Harry Potter series to be spoiled for me. My dad made me wait every few years when I was reading them for the later ones, so I started the series when I was eight and finished the last book when I was almost ten.

Sorcerer's Stone and Chamber of Secrets I watched the movies first. Prisoner of Azkaban and I think Goblet of Fire were okay. Order of the Phoenix my dad made me read the wikipedia plot summary first, and I will never forgive him. Half Blood Prince I saw the movie first.

Deathly Hallows was bad. After I found out (view spoiler)[Snape kills Dumbledore (hide spoiler)], I had my mom look up Snape before I was allowed to read Deathly Hallows and tell me about his motives. I also grilled my dad on who died in Deathly Hallows. I was a stupid crazy fan at nine years old before I finished all the books.

When I was a little older and read the Percy Jackson series, I made my own rules about reading it and didn't let anyone spoil anything (although I did find out accidentally that (view spoiler)[Jason dies in the Trials of Apollo series. (hide spoiler)]

However, the worst spoiler I've ever heard didn't happen to me, but to my sister's best friend. Apparently, she slept on a bottom bunk while her sister slept on the top. Her sister would lean over and "sleep-talk" and say (view spoiler)[Snape... kills... Dumbledore..." (hide spoiler)] and pretend to be sleep-talking to her.

I cried the entire movie. From scene 1- after credits (all you hear at the end is tony hammering in the cave) so sad

i've been spoiled for a number of books, but i think the worst one is for allegiant. i don't think i need to say more, most people know what happens at the end. also i spoiled myself (by accident) for the last book in the 5th wave trilogy and i am kinda scared to pick it up now...

I accidentally came across spoilers when I was watching trailers. It made me so annoyed, but I still loved the movie

I guess I can say I basically spoiled the entire MCU for myself by watching Endgame before anything else. It was the first free movie night at my college and I went with some girls from my residence hall.

yeah i also new about that spoiler before i read the book, and i had to keep myself from crying since it was 1 am and i didn't want to wake my family

yeah... i was on a vacation in greece and i was sharing a room with my parents, so that made it even worse, if i were at home i would have just let myself sob

The Burning Maze.... it still hurts me

For some reason, I always end up spoiling myself! I don't know how I keep doing it but I just can't seem to stay away from the Interent. Some of the worst self spoils I've done are the Burning Maze (you know the bit) and Mockingjay (once again, THAT BIT)

My best friend and I who’d already read the hunger games were looking at memes with out other best friend when we accidentally stumbled onto a mockingjay meme (if ya know, ya know) and basically she got the series ruined for her on the first book

welp after reading this chat I just spoiled allegiant for myself 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ other than that, the worst spoiler for me was probably the burning maze, which i still haven’t even read.

I was spoiled because of pinterest where I found about a characters death in a spin off series I haven’t even read yet. I was so shocked when I found out and now I’m not even sure I’m going to continue with the series.

omg its the worst when you look up a character to see what they look like and then spoil yourself! I did it for a character in An Ember In The Ashes

my rule is to not look at memes until I finish the series. when reading throne of glass, I was itching to look at memes but I controlled myself until I finished Kingdom of Ash.

The internet spoiled the Burning Maze, the Death Cure, and a little bit of Wings of Fire for me. I have a tendency to look for fan art when I first get into a series and accidentally ruin things for myself, but nothing too bad recently. Usually I just end up confusing myself by reading jokes/references/memes I don't understand yet. It's hardest to tell what's canon when it comes to ships, so that's probably the most confusing.
