Blue Muffin | 29 comments The impact is going to be everlasting. But will it be a positive one or a negative one? Also share your wish list for after lockdown

Kristie | 5928 comments Hi Blue - I'm moving this to the "Debates & Discussions 2020" folder. It will be a better fit.

I think there will be many positive and negative changes. I'm curious to see what others come up with.

Renee (elenarenee) | 149 comments I remember my Mothers stories of how the world was after WWII.

People learned to value the things they had more. During war time so many things were scarce. You didn't waste.

We have gotten so used to abundance that we panic when we cant get everything right now. I wonder post quarantine if people will start holding on to things again.

I had been thinning my personal library. I could always go to the brick and mortar library. Now I wish I had some of those book.
I am being forced to use more eBooks. I guess this pandemic is already changing me.

Kristie | 5928 comments I do hope people start wasting less after this. I think with the economy following this pandemic people may continue to be less likely to just toss things away without thinking about it, at least for a while. We have become very much a disposable world.

I know I will be more appreciative of my ability to go to a store whenever I want and find whatever I am looking for on the shelves. I will also be more appreciative of being able to get together with people whenever I want. So, hopefully in general we will have a bit more gratitude.

Nush Just always remember, “tough times don’t last, tough people do”

- not me

Ruby Poole (rubes16) Definitely for the better - lots of people will realise that at the end of the day it’s your family and loved ones that matter most. Not money, work, or fame.

Also I hope lots of people picked up a book and discovered a new love of reading!!

Papaphilly | 134 comments The world will or will not change. I suspect there will be minor changes, but over the longer run, not at all. If the states opened the bars tomorrow, they would be packed. I suspect some hoarding until the fear passes.

Ashley Fink Well, we all should DEFINITELY know how to wash our hands by now. Also, I think that we’ll better appreciate everyday social interaction and our essential workers.
