This is for discussion of Part One: Prologue, Chapters 1 & 2. Of The Light Between Oceans.
If you haven't read this far, be mindful of spoilers.

Wow. What can I say but the prologue and the first few chapters had definitely hooked me in.

The prologue gets straight to a part in the story that is set to define many decisions made by our characters and incur many repercussions for our characters.
The opening few chapters sets the scene of how Tom becomes lighthouse keeper at Janus Rock, how he meets Isabel and a few of his character traits.

It wants me to read more, more, more...I want MORE!
