The Retribution of Mara Dyer
question
Would you want to turn the Mara Dyer trilogy into a movie?

We love the book, and we know it ended, I wonder if you guys/readers would like to continue the Mara Dyer adventure with a movie.
For me... Yes. Because it is a great book, and should therefore be shared to the whole world... But if it turns out to be a horrible one, no. I wouldn't want to ruin the book's reputation as it is rather than a movie.

Depends on the casting. I would love there to be a movie but it would have to be perfect! I think that it would be a certificate 15 though because the third book is pretty gory.
I don't think it wound be a good movie, and I'd rather have no movie than a bad movie. All this crazieness just doesn't fit into a movie.
But I'd adore another book by Michelle Hodkin that's as crazy and amazing and romatic and weird as the Mara Dyer Trilogy

I would'nt want it to become a movie because the meaning of the book could get lost within it, although I do agree that it could make a could movie.
I would want it to turn into a movie because *unpopular opinion* I didn't like the books so maybe I would like the movie.
Yas, hope it won't be shiz.
SO EVERYONE WHO THINKS THIS BOOKS WAS AMAZING AND SHOULD BECOME A MOVIE SHOULD SUPPORT IT HERE: http://www.iflist.com/stories/theunbe...
No! The majority of books that are done as films end up being awful. :(

Although it would be nice in a movie, I would like to just keep it in my imagination rather than someone practically change the image I have created.
I think this book would make a perfect Box Office breaking movie. But, the directors have to stick to the events of the book and the casting has to be done in the most precautions way possible. It needs an actress that isn't playing a Mara but one who becomes a Mara so that she could be tangible and same goes for Noah. But I would have a heart attack from extreme excitement if it was to be made into a movie!!!
I don't think Mara Dyer should be translated into visual media. However, if I had to choose, I have to admit it would make a pretty cool TV show on CW or something.
Nope.
1) I don't think a movie could give back enough of its darkness and scariness.
2) There's just so much mental thing going on, I don't believe it's possible to portray it on screen sufficiently.

I think it would be better as a TV show on, like, Netflix, because they aren't afraid to have Mature shows on their network, while other stations might be. And Mara Dyer is a VERY graphic series, in it that it has a lot of blood and gore and language and sexual content.

Personally, I don't think it would make that great of a movie. Unless it gets a good producer, scriptwriter, director, and actors who ACTUALLY care about the book. Much of the appeal of the Mara Dyer trilogy and its effectiveness relies on the first person narrative. It had such an effect on me because I felt like I was going crazy. And it is really hard to translate that on screen. Take for example, Divergent. It was a great book but most Tris's struggles were internal and the script wasn't really able to capture that.

Turning it into a movie would be awesome but I prefer for it to stay in the pages of books bc I don't want my imaginations to be shattered.

No.
No.
No.
NO.
PEOPLE, THINK, PLEASE.
If you look from a certain angle, it is kinda cool, the story can be shared globally and blablabla. But if you really think about it, making a movie out of books has more cons than pros.
The book loses value: Yeah, many of you will refute this, but I see it that way, and there are many who think the same way I do. By turning a book into a movie, most people prefer watching the movie than to read the book. And yes, you'll say that people will buy more books because they wanna know how the story goes before the next movie comes out.
Maybe.
But if the movie sucks, they'll don't want to read the book, and therefore, they'll also say that the book sucks.
And besides, Don't you people think some stories are best left to our imagination? I honestly do not think anyone could reach the level of the plot that Michelle Hodkin created, and I honestly do not think there are better actors than those who are in my head. Just think about this.
*Sorry if my english's not too good, i speak spanish xD*
