Kristi | 6 comments Well, my first time here. Trying to read all the books I've had hanging around for years, to see if I still want to keep them close or if I can move them on to a new home.

As of today when I signed up (April 27) I've already completed 24 books for this challenge.

24 books is a great start! Any particular surprises, good or bad?

Kristi | 6 comments I have read several books that were just... blah.

But one I really was drawn into was All We Have Left, about two teen girls connected to 9/11 but separated by 15 years.

Kristi | 6 comments Oh, and The Storied Life of A. J. Fikry! Such a sweet book about the power of second chances and being open to what life offers. Totally keeping that one!

Kristi | 6 comments An update: as of July 31, I've read 72 books from my MountTBR piles.

Kristi | 6 comments Not sure how close I'm going to get with this goal... at 85 books currently, and only 1 month left of the year. I do have several books in my "finish before the end of the year" pile, but I don't think I'll hit 100. Grad school has kinda taken over and I've been doing a lot of library reading. Maybe I'll pick a smaller number as my goal for next year.

85 is a pretty great total, especially for someone in grad school!
