Thanks, it's a nice idea :)

message 3: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (jollybookshelf) Thank you Zaz! Camilla suggested it. I think it's great that we can see what our members are reading at a glance!

Michelle (girlvsbook) | 403 comments Mod
It will definitely help to see what other people are planning to read (may inspire me to change a few of mine). Some of the challenges are extra challenging, haha. Finding a book with antonyms in the title that I legitimately had an interest in reading was super tough.

message 5: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (jollybookshelf) I agree about the inspiration. There are so many books I've discovered in the past week thanks to members of this group ^_^

misplacedselchie | 347 comments Great idea to post it here! This makes it easier for us to link up and get new book ideas ahead of time! I have my list written out so I will have to type it up for this :) I will also be posting it on my blog (http://misplacedselchie.wordpress.com ) along with reviews of the books I read

message 7: by Robbie (new)

Robbie Antenesse | 4 comments Oof, I really feel like #4 should be a lot later in the list to allow for more books to be published during the year as options! :S

message 8: by Zaz, Mood Minion (new)

Zaz | 1387 comments Mod
For the #4, we decided it's the year before week 4 so you'll have plenty books from 2014 to read ^^

message 9: by Susan (new)

Susan Harding | 35 comments Sorry, totally new to GR - how do you add the link to the books within the post?

message 10: by Cait (new)

Cait (clickcait) | 480 comments Susan wrote: "Sorry, totally new to GR - how do you add the link to the books within the post?"

Just above the comment box on the right hand side you should have two links. One will say 'add book/author' and if you click that you can search for the book you want to link. :-)

Michelle (girlvsbook) | 403 comments Mod
Robbie, that rule was amended for our group's purposes. Since we're reading week by week instead of taking on tasks randomly, it was decided that "this year" would come to mean 2014 instead of 2015.

Jessica posted an excellent thread here that answers most of the frequently asked questions about the challenge and the tasks. You may find that helpful as you're trying to figure out what you want to read and when.

message 12: by Pam (new)

Pam It's an amazing idea. I'll join for this one :)

message 13: by Jackie Sparkman (new)

Jackie Sparkman | 3 comments Great idea. I like the concept , now what shall I read is the question so many options , hmmm

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

This is a great idea however, I'm doing the year 2015 reading challenge that was posted on Goodreads where you have to make a goal of how many books you wanted to read for the year and I put mine down as 80 books to read this year :)

message 15: by Jana (new)

Jana (janebee) | 11 comments Hi (:
I got a question on number 50, do you think it is ok to read a book that was at some point banned but isn't now? And does it have to be a book that is bannend in my country? Because I thimk I'll have some problems to get my hands on such a book ^^

That is completely okay Jana, and it can be a book that was banned anywhere. Here is a list of the top banned and challenged books in America. I am sure you can also do an easy search for what books are frequently banned in any country, I just know the American ones best lol. Hope that helps and happy reading!

message 17: by Jana (new)

Jana (janebee) | 11 comments Thank you that actually helps a lot (:
happy reading to you to

message 18: by Rona (new)

Rona (ronadareader) Thank you for the plan, that will definitely help me to get back on track in regards to reading books.

message 19: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (laundry_piles) Is it to late to jump in!? I love this idea!! How fun!

message 20: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (jollybookshelf) Jump on in! Never too late.

message 21: by Jen (new)

Jen Costa | 10 comments Where do I copy and paste the challenge or number them to add my list

message 22: by Michelle, Mod Assistant (new)

Michelle (girlvsbook) | 403 comments Mod
Hey Jen. You can copy/paste the challenge numbers and tasks from this post. You can create your plan in here.

message 23: by Shannon (new)

Shannon (shannonamelia) | 19 comments It took me the length of time one book would take to complete the plan with links in tow. Am I THAT slow, or is it tough for everyone?

I'm excited to catch up and jump in now! :-) Thanks for all the help!

message 24: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay | 12 comments Yay!! I just posted my plans! I hope it's ok that I am reading out of order... as long as I am sticking to book guidelines. I never thought I would step too far out of my comfort genre 'zone' and by the look of the books on my list... I'm in for a ride ;) What a great challenge and thanks for starting this group and discussions!! Happy Reading :)

message 25: by Zaz, Mood Minion (new)

Zaz | 1387 comments Mod
No problem with the out of order, just try to join the discussions as much as you can when you have read one of the weekly books :)

Amanda (Fiction Addictions on YT) | 12 comments I didn't realize we had a certain week to complete a certain challenge. I just thought that we had the list for the year and we just need to complete the list. I have already completed some of the future challenges but i will try to stick to the weekly challenge for now on.

message 30: by Shelly (new)

Shelly Hey, y'all! My name is Shelly. I would love to join you in the 2015 Reading Challenge. I am starting in week 29, so do I need to make up the weeks that I missed?

message 31: by Zaz, Mood Minion (new)

Zaz | 1387 comments Mod
Welcome Shelly :)
You can start at week 29 and catch-up the previous weeks if you have time. If you finished books before starting the challenge, you can see if they fit in some categories, so you'll check several more weeks. And of course, you can do only a part of the challenge if you don't have enough reading time.
Do what is easier/better for you, the goal of the challenge is to have fun and discover new books.

Zaz | 1387 comments Mod
Welcome Tiffany, can you copy-paste your post and create your own plan in this folder, like you did when you added your books in each week? :)
The overlaps is ok if you don't have enough time to read 1 book per week. We usually try to have different books for all the categories so you won't often see overlaps here.

message 35: by Tiffany (new)

Tiffany Anderson (miss5elements) | 66 comments Thanks, Zaz. And I sure will. I tried to use that cool challenge box, but it didn't work for me. It didn't register the books I'd read. Copy & paste works just fine.

Stacey, it would be better/easier if you create your own topic for your reading plan (so you can comment it or have comments from members). Some of us use ours as reading journals. To do it, there's a "create a new topic" in the top right corner (copy-paste your plan inside the text box). Thanks!

Hope it's right!
