Stephanie Alger (stephanielalger) I am not getting anywhere on my mount tbr. I keep starting books but I only get a chapter in before I move on to something else. two books I have started and haven't gotten anywhere on are A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court, and Around the World in Eighty Days.

Jessika (jessika_56) When I'm stuck on a book, I always make myself read 10 pages before I read a book that I really enjoy. eventually I get through it!

That is a really good idea! Thanks! I might start doing that with Around the World in Eighty Days. I know I will like it once I get into it...

Stephanie Alger (stephanielalger) Since I have still yet to finish a TBR pile book I made myself a TBR Jar and (thankfully) pulled out a really (really) short book for my first book. Wicked Crescenta Valley by Gary Keyes and Mike Lawler. I WILL read this by Saturday night!

It is a great idea in theory but I keep pulling slips out and saying to myself "this one is too long... I'll pick another" haha

Stephanie Alger (stephanielalger) 1. Wicked Crescenta Valley by Gary Keyes and Mike Lawler

2/5 stars: I grew up in the Crescenta Valley so it was a lot of fun to read about the past, but the writing left a lot to be desired. (Fun fact, my mom bought me this book for my bridal shower because she didnt want me to forget where I came from when I moved to CT)

Stephanie Alger (stephanielalger) Pulled #2 from the TBR jar. Looks like I will be reading Fateful by Claudia Gray next.

Stephanie Alger (stephanielalger) 2. Fateful by Claudia Gray

3/5 stars: I didn't realize there were going to be werewolves. I thought this was a historical fiction book about the Titanic. Even so it was pretty good.

Stephanie Alger (stephanielalger) Pulled #3 from the TBR jar and it looks like I will be reading The Nest Newlywed Handbook next.

Stephanie Alger (stephanielalger) I started reading the #3 pull from the TBR jar (The Nest Newlywed Handbook) but it is hard to just sit down and read it all so I am slowly slogging through it. I started reading a couple more from my TBR shelf though one of them is You Are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life by Jen Sincero, and the other is Talk to the Hand: The Utter Bloody Rudeness of the World Today, or Six Good Reasons to Stay Home and Bolt the Door by Lynne Truss.

I am slowly making my way through them. Hopefully by the end of the week I will finish one of the three.

Stephanie Alger (stephanielalger) Picked up The Iron Hunt last night. 80 pages in. Not bad.

Stephanie Alger (stephanielalger) I decided that I am going to get rid of a few books off of my shelves and I'm not sure if it counts but I am going to mark them down here anyways. The three books are:
1)The Nanny Diaries
2)I Am Number Four
3)Conquest
