Would it help if we introduce ourselves? I assume many of us came from the now renamed to CF & TC (child free & true crime) facebook group?

Hi, I'm Amanda. I used to love to do nothing but read as a child. As an adult I have had a hard time getting myself to do it even though I still enjoy it. Life, ADHD, & depression get in the way I guess.
I have mostly been reading self help type books recently because usually they are short chunks of info or chapters and focusing on a long continuous story has seemed like too much work while the world is out of control.

I decided to try Pretty Girls on audiobook since it is Georgia's read in the current reattempt for the hosts to try a book club & it has been on the bookshelf here as a suggestion for a while now.

Briana Kelley | 5 comments Hi! I’m Bri. I live in Santa Barbara where I work in the wine industry. I love reading, wine, true crime, trashy reality tv, small animals, and traveling. Currently I’m listening to Pet Sematary because (a) it’s read by Michael C Hall and I love him and (b) Stephen King and (c) I commute now and I’ve caught up on too many podcasts. I’m reading The Lying Game by Ruth Ware. Loving both so far!!

Esme (rymur78) | 3 comments Hi my fellow CF MFM people! I live in the middle of Illinois. Since our libraries are closed due to the pandemic I've been working my way through the books I had in my house. I finally broke down and ordered some books from Amazon. I am currently reading a memoir called North of Hope. It is about a woman who is trying to make peace with the fact her father and stepmother were mauled to death by a bear in Alaska. I stumbled across the story when I was in Alaska last year, so I enjoy it especially as she describes places I've been.

I'm so happy for you getting through some of your home book stacks. I don't know if you are ok with e-books, but my library has a program where you can rent books online still if you make it through the ones you ordered. I use the Libby app and it's pretty simple once you get the hang of it.

Briana Kelley | 5 comments I’m just finishing Pet Semetary- I’ve heard the 2019 movie rendition is garbage but I feel inclined to watch it in celebration of completing the book. Has anyone seen either movie version?

Spencer (crrrrash) | 3 comments Hey everyone! I’m L, an Australian fellow TC, CF book lover. I’m currently treading a few books, I never have just one book on the go :) I’m loving both A Gathering of Shadows and The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes at the moment

Has anyone seen either movie version?" I've always been too scared to watch the movies or read it. I worry with stuff about animals.

I did not even realize The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes existed! Thanks for educating me.
