Kylee (kyleeraereader) So this is where you can talk all about the books you are currently reading for the month of January!

I just started reading A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray.

Kylee (kyleeraereader) I just got the Tiger's Curse in one of my Book Outlet Hauls, but I haven't read it yet. The cover is gorgeous though.

I just started A Thousand Pieces of You, but maybe I should put it on the read-along list and see if anyone else wants to read it too :)

Yeah, I've been hearing a lot of mixed reviews so I dunno, it's not at the top of my TBR pile...

message 14: by Lisa (new)

Lisa | 21 comments Yeah the writings pretty bad and the characters are kind of dumb. My cousin read it and absolutely loved but I don't think I feel the same way

message 15: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (a-novel-thing) I just started reading Shadow and Bone; first from the Grisha trilogy. I've heard a lot of good things about it. It started out pretty slow (for my tastes) but luckily picked up about 50 pages in. Very intrigued with the Darkling and not sure how I feel about Alina.

The Darkling is actually one of my favorite villains of all time, I hope you love him! The whole series is pretty good, I just had a hard time liking Alina so that made the books a bit tough for me.

Marcella | 36 comments @Lizzy : I've put a pause on it because I want to read the 2.5 novella first. I'm nervous for the ending!!

message 21: by Lisa (new)

Lisa | 21 comments @Maricella same! It's such a good series and I hope it gets the ending it deserves, I also will be sad to see it end

Marcella | 36 comments @Dystopia28 : I absolutely love the series! I hope you do too ^.^

@Lizzy : I really hope it does too! A lot of dystopian books end really badly and I'm hoping this one doesn't.

message 25: by Kylee (new)

Kylee (kyleeraereader) I read the Darkest Minds and Never Fade but not the last one yet, I'm so nervous that it's going to be bad :/

The Darkling is the bad guy???... :'( (Well, it wouldn't be the first crush I've had on a villain. *shrugs*) But I do like him already and I've only read up to where he sends Alina away after revealing her as a Sun Summoner. And I'm having a hard time liking Alina as well right now. She comes across as very jealous and petulant (at least at this time). I hope that changes as I read on.

message 32: by Ashlynn (new)

Ashlynn (novelswithash) I'm about to start Cress by Marissa Meyer :) I also really want to start Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins

message 35: by Marcella (new)

Marcella | 36 comments I couldn't finish the Grisha trilogy. Alina was too annoying and I already know the ending...I loved The Darkling a million more times than Mal but I just couldn't. I might have to force myself to finish the series. Curiosity is killing me!

I recently finished Shiver. I had read such good things about it online, but I also felt it was slow and I didn't think it lived up to it's hype. Let me know your thoughts when you finish. I'm curious if I'm the ony one who felt this way.

I totally know what you mean, I'd heard so many great things about it and then a friend recommended it to me so I decided to give it a read but I just thought it was ok.. And I couldn't even finish the second book!

I started buy the 1st books then in the middle the cover changed made me so mad so about a year ago my dad bought the box set and I was still so mad but now im over it lol

message 41: by Cheyenne (new)

Cheyenne | 25 comments I know so now I just buy them all if I can

message 42: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (a-novel-thing) When I went to Books a Millon, it was the same problem. First book was one cover, the other two were different. So I hopped onto Scholastic (using my teacher account) and bought the box set. I need consistency or my OCD kicks into overdrive, lol.

message 43: by Kate Elizabeth (new)

Kate Elizabeth (k_hodgeyyy) I can definitely relate to that! I get so irrationally angry over cover changes, like why the hell would they do that!? haha

message 44: by Kate Elizabeth (new)

Kate Elizabeth (k_hodgeyyy) Yes definitely, I don't mind so much if all the covers get changed because then I can still get them matching but I just can't deal with it when they change halfway through but leave the others the same!

Dang, I totally kind of spoiled that for you without even thinking about it! So sorry, I'm the worst! Gah, you'll just have to read, I'm not going to say anything else about it so I don't ruin anything else :P

Sorry again!
