The Art of Racing in the Rain
question
Looking for recommendations

Hello all!
I like dog books -- especially books where the dog doesn't die. I'm looking for recommendations for some writers of dog stories I haven't discovered yet. Extra points if it's "book club fiction" -- that wonderful line between commercial and literary. Like _The Art of Racing in the Rain_.
Anyone know of any recently published dog books -- within the last 2 years or so?

I've just started reading Lost and Found by Jacqueline Sheehan. This book promises to be a tale of love and lost and is about an Animal Warden who develops a friendship with a Labrador Retriever named Floyd. It is Book 1 of a Peaks Island series. I'm not usually fond of series books because they tend to repeat what you already know, but so far it has captured my interest. I'll post more when I'm finished reading.
