2017 Reading Challenge discussion

I received this book for Christmas from my son and at first I thought it was going. To be tough going. The main character is an elderly woman whose mental faculties are failing alarmingly. However, even though it was heartbreaking in its depiction of her daily life, it quickly turns into a fascinating mystery as her current circumstances trigger long ago memories of events at the end of WWII. The plotting was brilliant and I couldn't put it down. It was a quick read, but worth every minute. Highly recommended!
