Hi Max! I'd love to have you review From the Ashes! Sending you an email now with details!

I'm sorry to hear that Damian. That is the pits! :( Thank you for your interest, just the same and I hope you enjoy it when it comes out in paperback. Keep your eye on May 3rd! :) Thank you!!

I'm open to reviewing sci fi and fantasy as long as its not a dystopia or about vampires or werewolves.
I'm acquiring a great distaste for dystopias and its mainly because the authors assume the wild is the same as the city. It's not. Years ago, a rough tough street thug type visited my folks on their farm that backed against "the woods" of the Olympic mountains.
Somehow, the conversation turned to the animals in "the woods". I calmly told about the first time I heard cougars in the night. I was about eight when my father and me went searching the woods for several missing milk cows.
I heard what sounded like a baby crying, yet the cry echoed off the hills. "Dad," I yelled. "I hear a baby crying. Should we rescue it."
"No. We aren't rescuing it. It's doing just fine on its own."
Then, the conversation turned to the Apple orchard just beyond twenty feet of black berry brambles and the bears who ate the apples every fall. "Last year, my dad said. "A hunter shot a year old bear about a hundred feet from the house."
The street thug's face turned white, and we had to escort him to his car maybe thirty feet from the front door. Apparently, the prospect of being eaten frightened him far more than being shot.
If someone writes a dystopia where hot young bodies with a yen for rolling in the hay spend their second night in "the woods" in the trees after finding one hot young body half eaten and another drug off into the "the woods" because they all foolishly slept in the open, I 'll review it. Even better, after one night on the open ground and a second in the trees, they build a rude fort with tall palisades, I know they've learned that large "ambush" predators like bears, wolves and cougars rule the night.
Or, if they're all eaten after a week, that would work, also

Len was helpful. I wasn't looking for stars, just a sensible, intelligent reader who would express an honest opinion, and that is what I got.

My name is Shelby K. Morrison. I am looking for ARC reviewers for my new book set to be published in May. The book will be available in a couple weeks. Then you'll have 3 months to review so there is no rush. Details are below.
