Rowena (rowenacherry) | 30 comments I made a single purpose trailer for Insufficient Mating Material, titled "Please rate my cover art".

I uploaded it almost 2 weeks ago, assuming that newest videos would show on the profile page.

Not so. It appears to be a Catch 22. Until 5 people (more than the number who favorited Mating Net) manage to find "Please rate..." among "Other videos" and vote that they like it, Mating Net will stay on my profile.

Meanwhile, today is the last day to "rate" Insufficient Mating Material (Thurs 25th Sept, by midnight) so if I cannot get it up, I'll have wasted my investment in the video.

Link I'm trying to promote

Please help a) Move "Please rate Insufficient Mating Material" to my profile page today.

b) Rate my cover (I need to raise 1,000 votes today!.

Thanks,
Rowena

It would certainly make more sense for new videos to replace older ones when they're added... or for Goodreads to give us the option to choose which one should appear on our profile.

I voted for the video, so you have two votes now... three to go. Good luck.

Rowena (rowenacherry) | 30 comments Thank you, Gina.

The video is now on my profile page.

Apparently, "most popular on the profile" is the GR policy, but it is under review.

If you haven't joined the new official Author Feedback group, you could make your feelings known there.

Thank you again for your help and support.

Don't know if you've heard the news, but GoodReads is in the process of creating a Premium Author membership program. Once you join the program, you will be able to select which video you want to move to the top of your profile page. I'm guessing disgruntled authors have been making their voices heard. It seems the administration is going to add this new feature soon.

Rowena (rowenacherry) | 30 comments True, Kevis, and thank you for sharing the info. Please note, though, Premium Membership means that authors pay for such privileges as being able to designate which videos to move to the profile page.

It's responsive, yes, but authors who choose not to pay for premium membership status will still have to ask increasing numbers of kind friends to vote when they want a new video on their front page.
