YA Book Gang!! discussion

Joycedale and I will be reading this series if anyone would like to join :)

When do you want to start? I already looked and there's 20 chapters so I figured we could do 4 or 5 a day. Thought I better plan that so I don't finish the book before you even start lol.

I like it so far.
I was giggling during chapter 1, I thought it was going to turn out he was real and that's why he was confused about her being confused about him talking.
I knew what was going to happen when he told her not to leave school, not sure how she didn't figure it out.
The name Dank Walker is driving me crazy! I'd seen it somewhere a long time ago and I can't remember where.

Chapter 6-10
(view spoiler)[She really shouldn't be leading Leif on like that. I also don't understand why Dank is messing with Kendra if he dislikes her so much.
I really believe the blonde girl is there to kill Pagen because Dank was supposed and saved her instead. (hide spoiler)]
O and I figured out where I've heard his name. It was The YA Sisterhood blog's crush tournament a couple of yrs ago. It was because of that I even added this to my tbr lol.

Oh I remember seeing that too! I'm glad you figured it out :). Sorry I'm so behind my phone broke and so I lost my file for this book but I got a new one now so I'll be starting soon :)

Finally got done with chapter 1-5
At first things were kind of slow but now that Dank is actually in school I'm thinking things will pick up a bit. I like Leif so far he's so sweet and caring. But of course gotta throw the love triangle thing in there.. And what kind of crazy names are these.. Pagan, Dank and Leif... lol guess she wanted something new and unique.

Got behind since I couldn't put down The Raven Boys yesterday lol. I agree about the names and I'm not sure but in my head I've been pronouncing Leif, leaf. That would be the way right?
Ch 11-16
(view spoiler)[So Dank is a douch for leaving like that and not giving her a heads up on what would happen. I totally blame him for her being locked up like that.
I really wish she would end it with Leif. Its so wrong to lead him like that.
I also think they can't just shoot up some random person like that on the side of the road, what if she had been allergic? No one bothered to ask first. But I'm also curious what exactly she was doing for them to want to take her to the hospital to begin with. (hide spoiler)]

Ch 16-20
I do not like how dependent on him she seems. I liked the ending though mainly because I started suspecting something like that.

I next book is 25 chapters so I'm guessing 5 again?

Ugh I think they go into to much detail with the answers they give to questions in class and Danks songs. They are both too long.

Going to start Predestined today.

So I didn't start it yesterday lol got caught up in City of Bones but I'm starting it now

(view spoiler)[So if Lief is "destined" to be with Pagen why did he spend so many yrs of with Kendra? Speaking of which Dank never explained why he needed a relationship with her too.
Also Pagen and Dank kissed in the last book and it never said anything about her soul trying to escape.
But now I understand some of Danks hate for Leif although he probably couldve just told Pagen he wasn't human from the beginning. But Pagen needs to get her freaking story straight about who broke up with who (although I guess it doesn't matter since everyone is forgetting about him) (hide spoiler)]

Do you think there's been people you knew that when they left you just forgot about them even existing? I doubt it but I wonder because how would you know?

(view spoiler)[Well I didn't expect Jay to be Pagens soul mate. I love the note that Dank gave him. I thought it may have seem wrong that Wyatt was to die. That could be why Dank didn't see his name on the agenda that day. I hope they're able to get his soul back. (hide spoiler)]

I find this sad and sweet at the same time but I'm like Leif (view spoiler)[completely confused on why she doesn't remember him either. And I wonder how she thinks her life went for the last yr? Lol chapter 6 had me laughing my butt off! I can't believe Jay. I don't think Dank has much to worry about.
So somewhere along the line it must've switched to NA. The other books didn't have this much cussing or crudeness to them.

11-15
Wow Jay just doesn't want to give up. And what's with Leif? After reading his novella I kind of expected (view spoiler)[him to be with that Sophia (Sophie?) girl. I was hoping Pagen would regain her memories after the way she reacted to his necklace and song but I guess that won't happen (hide spoiler)]
This is definitely more adult than the previous 2.

16-20

That was the most romantic date ever. Why did Leif have to go and do that? I really wish it would tell us more about what's going on with him. Jay just sounds super fun lol.

21-26

So didn't like the ending. I'm mean I glad everything worked out but there was so much stuff left unanswered. (view spoiler)[Basicall nothing about Leif was answered. What happened with the girls he was trying to help escape? And why did he keep showing up when he had accepted Pagen wanted Dank?
How did Wyatt's soul enter a 19 yr old body?
What was it that had her mom so busy anyways? I kept thinking she was going to announce she was dating someone. (hide spoiler)]
