So.... what modern (meaning published 1990 or later) Weird word would you as a group like to read for the hot summer month of August? We have had a lot of good nominations in the past that came in second place. Maybe it's time for us to give one of these a go?

Nominations are open through July 17. Get yours in early. You can always change it if something you would rather read comes along later.

A Hawk in the Woods by Carrie Laben. This novel builds on Lovecraft's "The Thing on the Doorstep."
