This book is different in that it takes place on Earth and there is a wider cast of characters, including many female characters.
The story starts slowly but builds up to a very dramatic climax.

I think the book is a fitting conclusion to the other two novels since it ties everything together at the end.
Merlin is quite a character!

Good to know, Rosemarie! I borrowed the ebook a couple days ago and plan to read this very soon.
I still need to start the copy of this that I borrowed, but has anyone besides Rosemarie began or read the book and would like to comment?

Patrick, Perelandra is the second and That Hideous Strength is the third.
I hope you find a copy. 🤞

My library didn’t have any of these books, but the Baton Rouge library has them all available as ebooks on Overdrive. That’s where I’ve been getting them from. If you have hoopla, all 3 books are available as audiobooks on that platform.

Patrick, I don’t know how I would feel reading 2 of 3 books in a trilogy and listening to the middle one. My preference is for all in a series to be ingested the same way — read or listened to. I guess sometimes you just have to make do with what’s available, though.

Rosemarie, all three books are read by Geoffrey Howard. I love it because he was the voice of a character in a video game I loved.
That makes a difference, Patrick. It's hard to enjoy an audio book if the narrator's voice is unpleasant or annoying.
I have this checked out on ebook and will start it once I finish The Sun Also Rises. Hoping to do that this weekend. I favor fantasy much more over sci-fi but so far have really enjoyed this trilogy with the first two books.
I finished this book last week and actually did not enjoy it nearly as much as the first two books. Who knew I like my science fiction to be more otherworldly than not? At least in terms of this trilogy.
Enjoy the conclusion!!
