The second half of this book is fantastic! Really speedy pacing, and decent characterisation, especially with the villain/ hero relationship. I love the one eyebrow raising annoyance response when they are talking and he crumbles her knife. F! Really? 🤣💕

I don't think this would have worked without the slow build of Sloane's character. Ooh, you're going to give the baddy a chance? Needed background.
