Ok, so I’m on page 317, and Sloane just described the villain as having ‘elegant fingers’...just putting a prediction out here that she will be snogging him somewhere in the next 3 chapters or so. I’m now waiting for her to notice that he has eyes as deep as the ocean, or for her to ‘let out a breath she didn’t realise she was holding’, before they push each other up against some grimy alley wall in the middle of a crisis.

I mean, I’m totally here for it, but this just became a potential three point villain turn. I’m hoping he’s just playing with her and there is a deeper plot turn ahead than just a good guy bad guy switcheroo, but considering she can’t stop ponying his hair, I’m expecting full speed ahead trash now! Love my trash!

Well, can’t say I don’t recognise a turn from Adult into YA when I see a glaring road sign. 🤣

One thing I really liked was the inclusion of music in the chapters. I had a dram when they had one, and turned on my music to the same soundtrack they were playing. It was like 4DX reading.

I had to look up the song they were referencing, and its lyrics. That was annoying tbh! Still enjoying bit think we're in slight cliche territory.

Slight? Every line is a trope bouquet of cliches - still loving the second half of the book though. 🥰
